I promise I’m an excellent employee otherwise 😏
👉Everything I used here (soil, crâck, pot, cloning paste, water pump, etc) are all at a dïscount on my Iink🌳
90% of the repots I have to do are all POTHOS. These are the plants that keep on giving because they’re so easy to propagate, but they also require constant upsizing in my environment.
By root trimming, I can keep the plant contained in the same pot for longer (and the air pruning pot helps too!)
Stay tuned for updates on the stems that have cloning paste on them!
Anyone else have repotting jobs that take 2-3 business days like me 😩?

How to repot any houseplant EVER
To start, take your plant out of its planter and start loosening the soil like you’re tickling the plant.
Putting your plant in a pot like this before placing it in a heavy pot will make this process a lot easier.
Before you put the plant in the new pot, add enough soil to the bottom so that the top of the root ball is about 3 inches below the planter rim.
When choosing a new pot, only go up in size about 2 inches or so. Using too big of a planter in a repot can make your plant sad.
Pack the soil in, water deeply with Plant Food and Death Drops, and YOU’RE DONE!

If you want to make a ridiculously unnecessary repotting station of your own you can find the supplies in my Amazon storefront in my bio.
This setup has actually motivated me to repot (my least favorite plant chore) because everything is in the same spot and it’s just so much more efficient.
Could you use something like this? Or is it too over the top?

Golden Pothos are one of the most classic houseplants on the market. Known for its tolerance to a wide range of home conditions, this character is tough as nails! In this video we talk about how to repot the Golden Pothos, as well as take a few cuttings that you can either share with a friend, make new pots, or add to an existing pot to make it more full! #planttips #planttiktok #plantsmakepeoplehappy
Pothos are one of THE most popular houseplants of all time! They’re a super fast growing vine that prefers to climb, but lives perfectly fine as a trailing plant, too. Because they grow so quickly we often have to increase the pot size to allow for more grow and convenient watering. This is how I repot the Golden Pothos. #plants #plantsoftiktok #planttiktok
The cutest video I’ve ever made 🥹🌿
Philodendron White Wizard: This was one of my first tissue culture experiments and it stayed tiny unlike the others in the pack. It continues to put out fully white leaves but stays resilient. I’ve had it for months and it has become a favorite of mine.
Pink Variegated Alocasia Bambino: This smol girl grew from a corm the size of a seed. I wasn’t expecting it to root at all but it’s been one of my fastest growing baby bambino’s.
Aglaonema Pictum Tricolor: Also from a tissue culture pack that I got months back. It was the only one to develop root rot but I managed to re-root it in fluval. These are slow growers in general but I’m happy that it made a come back.
Which of these tiny plants was your favorite??

Let’s repot a Fiddle Leaf Fig tree😌🌿
If your Fiddle Leaf Fig is root-bound or has roots coming out the top or bottom you know it’s time.
Gently remove the plant from its pot, a growers pot makes this so much easier!
Inspect the roots and trim any dead or damaged ones with sterile scissors.
Choose a pot that's two inches larger than the original one.
Add fresh, well-draining potting mix to the base, add your tree, then more potting mix around it!
Water thoroughly and pop back in the same spot to avoid shock.
Clean the mess 🫣 my new HydroVac 3-in-1 Vacuum and Mop made this SO EASY as it sucked up the soil and and can be used on wet and dry spills - or in my case both 🤪It is also self cleaning!
It’s best to repot every 2-3 years in spring or summer!

Hey guys today, I just wanted to teach you how to repot a plant! I know it’s a little longer than what we’re used to, but with summer around the corner I figured this could really help. Be sure to save for later and share with somebody who could use it.

Repot this Monstera plant with me! When repotting, there are a few things you want to keep in mind to set your plant up for success:
Root rot is one of the main causes of dying plants. Drainage is key! Allowing you plants to drain out any excess water will prevent roots from sitting in moisture, which leads to root rot. Luckily, there are steps you can take to prevent this, and the best time to implement them is when you’re repotting.
1. Choose a soil mix with drainage or add your own. For most plants, I use a regular chunky soil mix and add in perlite.
2. Choose a pot with drainage holes! This decorative pot is also functional with 5 drainage holes, so you can plant directly inside without worry.

For repotting houseplants I recommend doing the activity in the Spring, unless you’re using a growlight, in which case any time of year is fine. Adding a grow light means you can keep light consistent, much like most houseplants would experience in their natural habitat near the equator. Longer periods of light increases the plants ability to recover from transplant shock (remember, repotting is not natural to plants) which is why I recommend this as a Spring activity. Of course, if it’s an emergency like root rot- just repot! On that note, most houseplants wont fuss too much no matter what season you repot them in, but some will *cough* Ficus. But, since cause of decline is very unlikely to be from a plants pot size, there’s no need to rush the plant into a new pot when optimal conditions for recovery aren’t present. #plantsoftiktok #plants
