Some people dedicate themsevles to the church and the religious belief that there is another place we go after we leave earth. Some dedicate their lives to their work, so that the work they put into something will out live them and through their contributions a part of them lives on forever. Some invest their time into raising a family and keeping their lineage alive, and in the blood of their children and future ancestors, they continue to live on. And of course modern society is obsessed with looking young, “anti-aging” and “forever 21” etc, we deny all together that aging is a natural process and we do whatever we can to prevent signs that our end is always sneaking closer. Getting older is nothing to fear, it is a gift that not all people are afforded, and it is a natural part of existence- it is the cost of being alive.
