"I miss my son." Jordan Neely's father spoke outside the courtroom after Daniel Penny was found not guilty of criminally negligent homicide in the chokehold death of Neely. Penny, a 25-year-old former Marine, put Neely, a 30-year-old homeless man, in a six-minute-long chokehold after Neely boarded a subway car acting erratically, according to police. Witnesses described Neely yelling and moving erratically, with Penny's attorneys calling Neely "insanely threatening," when Penny put Neely in a chokehold. Neely's dad was joined by Eric Garner's mother. In 2014, Eric Garner was killed in Staten Island by an NYPD officer who had put him in a prohibited chokehold while arresting him. "No one deserves to be choked to death," Gwen Carr, Garner's mother, said. "We did not get justice once again." #news #jordanneely #danielpenny #abcnews
