It’s hard to feel bright and hopeful in the current world climate. So how do you cultivate hope if you’re having a hard time doing so?
1. Recognize your feelings and extend compassion to yourself. Things are really hard right now. It makes sense to have waves of all kinds of emotions.
2. Take care of yourself. Prioritize your own self-care and fill your own cup before everyone else’s. You can’t stay engaged if you’re empty.
3. Remember that things have to get bad before they can get better. This is a hard one. People’s emotions have to be activated for change to happen. We have to get uncomfortable.
4. Zoom out. Try to look at the bigger picture. What’s happening on a larger scale? Is there deeper growth below the surface?
5. Limit your media intake. If you can’t read it/see it without shutting down. It’s time for a break.
6. Look at the people who are showing up. All over the world.
7. Figure out a way to be a part of the solution. How will you take action in a high vibrational way? Get angry, get mad, but don’t stay stuck in it. Let it be the fuel to take steps forward.
8. Focus on shining your light as brightly as you can. Smile at the people at the grocery store, even if they scowl back. Look at people in the eyes. Notice them. BE love every day.
9. Create the space to center yourself daily and ground yourself. You can’t do the other steps if you aren’t prioritizing showing up as your highest self.
10. Get involved. Lead a discussion group, volunteer at a local non-profit, do something that makes you feel empowered. Get in community and lift each other up.
11. Ask for help if you need it. The more we isolate, the more fear, shame, and hopelessness breeds. Which is not a vibration for positive change.
Remember that you are one person and that, yes, one person makes a difference. Your light creates a ripple that we need. If you’re stuck in fear and hopelessness, you will stay stuck.

It really is simple things like this that keep me hopeful for the future!! With this new year starting, it felt like a shift in my mindset. After TTC pretty much all of 2024 & going through a miscarriage, I’ve just come to terms with the fact that things aren’t going to go the way I would’ve expected. So instead of dwelling on that, I’m trying so hard to look to the future with faith & trust that God knows the perfect time for a lil baby to join our family. 🥹 We are so dang excited & can’t wait for that day tho!!
