Here's how we RV in gorgeous settings like this! As a full-time RV family, we love getting a chance to boondock (camp without hookups). We have a 41 ft fifth wheel and a basic off-grid setup that consists of a generator, 2 lithium batteries, a 2000W inverter, and a small briefcase solar panel. This means that we have to conserve as much water and power as possible, so here are a few things we do as soon as we get to our spot for the night: 1. We flip breakers for all unnecessary appliances. This may not be something everyone else does, but we have little kids that may accidentally turn on our electric fireplace or microwave, which would not be good. 2. When we are dry camping, we are living off our fresh water tank instead of city water, so we have to turn on our water pump. 3. Our water heater and fridge run on both electricity and propane, so we switch them to propane. 4. This handy electric water pump hooks right up to a 5-gallon jug of water so we can have extra water for drinking/cooking. We conserve power by only turning our inverter on when needed and try to only run the generator once a day to top off our batteries. We also have a small @growatt.portable portable power bank so we can charge up devices or power our Starlink for short periods of time. Do you enjoy boondocking?
