Replying to @ttvsheriffshutter Even if your intention isn't to colonize - the impact of people moving to these countries en mass & developing this land is the end result. And never in the history of the world has colonization benefited the colonized. Sure you may go into this thinking you're going to whatever country to build with them but that's not what ends up happening. The vast majority of people moving to these countries aren't building in local communities. They're gobbling up land that isn't developed - so chances are the land you end up buying will most probably be developed for communities of people who look just like you & that's the problem. They're buying up the land, driving up prices, displacing the locals, destroying wildlife sanctuaries & they don't care who's effected in the long run as long as they have their pretty little beach house. So to answer your question - no I don't think they want you there but even knowing that the vast majority of 👱🏻♀️👱people go anyway because they feel entitled to do whatever they want.
