chocolate bliss balls (aka israeli chocolate balls) 🤍✨ growing up, i’d see these all over whenever i visited israel - at coffee shops, bakeries... these feel like a piece of childhood to me. they are such a fun and surprisingly decadent dessert (especially when you consider how easy they are to make!). so, i thought i’d share them here! recipe below. ingredients: 250 g tea biscuits 3/4 cup heavy cream 1.5 tablespoons sugar 8 tbsp. butter 200 g semisweet chocolate shredded coconut directions: place the biscuits in food processor and pulse until the biscuits are mostly crumbs. alternatively, place them in a sealable bag and using a rolling pin crush them to crumbs. using a double boiler, melt the chocolate in a saucepan over medium heat. add the sugar and cream. once the sugar is dissolved, add the butter and continue to stir until melted. place the crushed biscuits in a bowl, and pour the chocolate mixture over them. mix until the crushed biscuits are fully and evenly covered. let the mixture cool to room temperature. cover with plastic wrap once cooled, and place in the fridge to cool for another 2 hours. remove from the fridge. prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper. place your coconut flakes in a clean bowl. take bits of the chocolate mix and roll them in yours hand to create little balls, about 3/4 the size of a golf ball. dip them in the coconut flakes, covering to coat evenly. place the finished balls on the baking sheet. eat immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. enjoy! #chocolatebliss #chocolatelove #homemadedessert #easyrecipe #childhoodmemories #sweettreats #foodie #chocolateballs #dessertrecipe #yum
