Rib Roast Meat Hack Rib Eye Steaks! Save money! Buy a whole rib roast from Costco and cutting your own steaks is more cost effective than buying them already cut up. And doing it yourself is so easy! I cut huge 3 inch thick steaks weighing 32 oz!! So this works out to about $22 per steak and easily feeds 3 people. This would normally cost $100 plus tax and tip at a restaurant. Ungraded rib eye steak at Costco for $11.35 per pound Canadian or $8.17 USD per pound. Sure the AAA was $16.13 per pound or 11.61 USD per pound… but I want to make the best steak possible with the ungraded meat which is 42% cheaper. The ribeye is from Canada and is halal but it is just not graded. The gravy from a pot roast is always elite 🙌🏼 Recipe ⬇️ 1.5-2 lbs Beef roast (Rib-eye steaks also work great) 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder 1 tsp dried parsley 1/2 tsp mustard powder Sea salt & black pepper AP flour 1 yellow onion 6-8 garlic cloves 2 tbsp Apple cider vinergar 1-2 cups mini Potatos 1 large carrot 2 tbsp ketchup 2 tbsp brown sugar 2 tbsp soy sauce 3-4 cups chicken broth (enough to just cover the beef) 2-3 rosemary sprigs 3-4 Bay leave 1 tbsp oregano 1 chicken boullion cube Starch slurry (2 tbsp starch:4 tbsp water) - do half the amount of starch slurry if you have less gravy to work with. Salt & pepper to taste Fresh parsley Bake at 325-350 for 3-4 hours until beef is tender.

Rib roast is the crème de la crème of beef roasts. Today I’m cooking a homekill boneless version, a gift from my beloved parents. Idk how the butcher sorted this out but there’s some skill in tying it up. Mad delicious, easy as to prepare & not much or any thinking involved tbh. I use @rumandque bull dust seasoning to make it even more convenient, plus the flavour is on point 🤌🏾 I’m using the reverse sear method for this cut. We don’t wanna overcook it so a Thermo is ideal hitting the right temp. Feel free to wing it if you have the belief. Once we have the internal temp we can rest the beef for however long we want. Slow Roasted Beef Short Ribs with a Mushroom Sauce. This slow cooked dinner is worth the wait! Ingredients 2-3lbs @D’Artagnan Foods boneless short ribs 1 tbsp olive oil 1 large onion, diced 1lb carrots, ends removed and large chop 2 cups celery, rough chop 2 large garlic cloves, minced 3 tsp kosher salt 1 1/2 tsp black pepper 4 cups beef stock 1 cup water (possibly 1 extra-see below) 3 bay leaves 1/2 cup red wine 3 springs fresh rosemary 5 large sprigs thyme Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Place a large dutch oven on the stove over med/high heat and add the olive oil. Season the short ribs with 3/4 tsp black pepper and 1 1/2 tsp kosher salt. Sear each side of the short ribs and remove. Reduce the heat to med and add the onion and celery. Cook until the onion is translucent, add the wine and cook the wine down for 10 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients and place the short ribs back in the pot. The liquids should cover the short ribs, if they dont add another cup of water. Bring to a boil, cover and place in the oven. Cook for 3-5 hrs or until fork tender. Remove & serve with your favorite grain. Mushroom Sauce 8oz button mushrooms 1/2 tsp thyme 1 1/2 cups heavy cream pinch of salt and pepper 2 tbsp olive oil Add the mushrooms, olive oil, salt, pepper and thyme to a baking dish. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes.
