I was laid off from my job at Microsoft - here’s why I waited 5 months to share and why the layoff has been such a blessing 🙏🏼🙌🏼❤️ The last 5 months have been 5 of the best months of my life specifically because of the mindset/perspective I chose to adopt during this time. I never would have “asked” to be laid off, but thankfully God had greater plans for me; the last 5 months have been the greatest gift from God that I never would have asked for. They were a gift because of everything and everyone I got to pour my time into every single day. And for that I will be forever grateful. All of that said, I definitely fully acknowledge that my lived experience with being laid off is not the same as any other individual’s lived experience. Layoffs are a deeply personal and nuanced experience to go through, and I personally know many people who have struggled with their layoffs mentally, emotionally, and financially. This post is not intended to invalidate or disregard those things in any way, but rather to offer my specific lived experience and reflections/perspectives from going through it. I aim to inspire hope and a shift in mindset to others through my message. To every single person who has reached out to offer kind and encouraging and supportive words, I cannot thank you enough for all of the love. It has meant the world to me ❤️ I promise there’s no need to be sorry or to feel bad for me because I certainly don’t feel bad about the layoff!! I have been thriving and genuinely have felt better than ever the last 5 months, and I hope to share that positivity with everyone around me, both virtually and in person ❤️ #microsoft #microsoftlife #productmanager #productmanagement #remotejob #remotejobs #layoffs #laidoff
𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆’𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗮 𝗱𝗮𝘆: “𝙈𝙊𝙉𝘿𝙀𝙂𝙍𝙀𝙀𝙉” (mahn-duh-green) noun: this is the humorous linguistic phenomenon resulting from the misinterpretation of a word or phrase, often occurring in the context of song lyrics. It’s that ‘aha’ moment when you realize you’ve been singing the wrong words all along. The term was coined by American writer Sylvia Wright in a 1954 essay for Harper’s Magazine. Wright described how, as a young girl, she misheard the last line of the first stanza of the Scottish ballad “The Bonny Earl O’ Moray.” The actual line “And laid him on the green” was heard by Wright as “And Lady Mondegreen.” Wright’s misinterpretation transformed the actual text into something with its own distinct and erroneous narrative. She believed that the Earl of Moray had been killed along with a Lady Mondegreen, a lady who never existed. Realizing her mistake years later, Wright suggested the term “mondegreen” for similar mishearings. The term caught on and is widely used to describe misheard song lyrics and other phrases. “Mondegreen” is thus a classic example of how a mishearing can lead to the creation of a new word or concept—an evolution in language prompted by an error in perception or interpretation. 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂, 𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗻𝘆: What’s your favorite mondegreen, hunny? #WOD #WordOfTheDay #MONDEGREEN
Replying to @belday Hate to say it but i think you got a fake ☹️ i made the same mistake with a different book and it was like they copy and pasted a word document 😭
Daily Gospel Reading for Thursday, 27 March 2025 - Luke 11:14-23 A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke. Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute, and when the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke and the crowds were amazed. Some of them said, "By the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons, he drives out demons." Others, to test him, asked him for a sign from heaven. But he knew their thoughts and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste and house will fall against house. And if Satan is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that it is by Beelzebul that I drive out demons. If I, then, drive out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your own people drive them out? Therefore they will be your judges. But if it is by the finger of God that I drive out demons, then the Kingdom of God has come upon you. When a strong man fully armed guards his palace, his possessions are safe. But when one stronger than he attacks and overcomes him, he takes away the armor on which he relied and distributes the spoils. Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters." -The Gospel of the Lord. If you have reached this point, please follow and share to help spread the Word of God. -The Kingdom of God is Upon Us. Reflect, today, upon your heart. Are you obstinate in any way? Are there teachings from Christ and His Church that you are tempted to reject? Is there some truth that you need to hear in your personal life to which you find it difficult to be open? Pray that the Kingdom of God come upon you today and every day and, as it does, that you will be a powerful instrument of its establishment in this world. -Let us pray. My glorious King of all, You are all-powerful and have full authority over all things. Please come and exercise Your authority upon my life. Come and establish Your Kingdom. I pray that my heart be always open to You and to the direction you give. -Jesus, I trust in You. Please follow, like, and share. Thank you. May God bless you! Please visit and support our socials. In the depths of a cave, surrounded by shadows and the weight of isolation, a soul cries out—not to the world, but to the Creator who sees all hidden places. This is not just a plea; it is the raw release of a heart stripped bare. A man hunted, misunderstood, and abandoned by those he once called friends, pours out his anguish like water from a shattered vessel. Every word is drenched in desperation, yet anchored in divine trust. There is no one who cares, no refuge in sight, no human ally left. He looks to his right and sees no one. He is invisible to men, but not to God. With trembling voice, he declares his spirit is faint, but God knows the path he walks. Even when traps are laid in the darkness, the Almighty sees and understands. This cry isn’t weak—it is powerful in its surrender. The speaker doesn’t deny his pain; he lays it before heaven as an offering. “Rescue me,” he pleads, not for selfish gain, but to proclaim God’s goodness among the righteous. Though caged in despair, he sees beyond the prison. He sees deliverance. And this, ultimately, is not a psalm of despair, but of fierce hope. It declares that even in the loneliest hour, the soul is never alone. The One who hears in silence, who rescues from pits unseen, is near. The darkness may close in, but light is coming. And it will break every chain. #FaithInGod #TrustInTheLord #GodIsWithYou #WalkByFaith #SpiritLed #GodIsFaithful #SeekHisFace #DivineGuidance #PrayerWarrior #JesusMyRefuge #HopeInDarkness #GodHealsBrokenHearts #FromPainToPurpose #FaithOverFear #BreakEveryChain #ThereIsHope #VictoryInJesus #NeverAlone #GodIsMyStrength #RestInGod #BibleVerseOfTheDay #Psalm142 #ScriptureMeditation #BibleReflection #BiblicalTruth #ChristianEncouragement #GodIsGood #DailyScripture #PowerOfPrayer #CryOutToGod #GodHears #WildernessSeason #HiddenButChosen #GraceInDarkness #GodWillDeliver #SoulCry #DivineRescue #ChristAlone #JesusMyRock #CoveredByGrace #PrayerLife #GodSeesMe #PeaceInTheStorm #JesusIsKing #MyRefugeAndFortress #JesusIsNear #FaithDeclaration #SpiritualWarfare #GodIsMyRefuge #HealingInChrist #ChristCentered #GodsPlan #ChristianFaith #OvercomerInChrist #SavedByGrace #KingdomMindset #ChristianLiving #HopeThroughChrist #InGodsHands #HeartsOnFire #JesusOverEverything #GodIsAble #WorshipWarrior #SpiritAndTruth #RiseWithChrist #EncouragementForToday #ScriptureTruth #PresenceOfGod #RefinedByFire #UnshakableFaith #ChosenAndCalled #StrengthFromGod #FreedomInChrist #JesusBeTheCenter .
