I started making my bed every morning a few years ago and it has helped me so much to start the day off right. Mornings are what sets my mood for the day. Do you make your bed every morning? @lululemon

First time building my own garden bed! 🌱
I started with a layer of cardboard to smother weeds and create a solid foundation. Wetting the cardboard helps it break down faster, turning it into rich organic matter that nourishes the soil over time.
Next, I added a thin layer of natural, non-dyed mulch. Mulch is like a blanket for the soil—it locks in moisture, keeps weeds at bay, and as it decomposes, it boosts soil fertility.
Then came the lasagna method, which is all about layering! I alternated between organic compost (packed with nutrients) and a mix of organic soil and perlite. The compost feeds the plants, while the soil-perlite mix keeps everything light and airy, ensuring good drainage and root growth.
Layer by layer, I built it up, creating a nutrient-rich environment for my plants to thrive. 🌸
