The Opossum, America’s only Marsupial, does also eat ticks, however, they eat far less than previously thought. They do carry diseases that can be very harmful to livestock and game, however they are very unlikely to carry rabies due to their low body temperature. There has never been a case of an opossum transmitting rabies to a human. Every wild animal can bite. It’s all about the level of provocation. Humans CAN get rabies and bite, however, I wouldn’t classify us as rabid biters. This is a video is not to say their population should not be controlled regarding game and livestock. This was our 4 month update on Poe. Ya’ll loved it so much if i remember right it got 12M views lol. If you’re new to the story of Poe, he passed away of old age a couple months ago.
