This has always been one of my favorite videos since Hunter's been born. It's on Hayden's old Facebook profile, and we no longer have the phone it was recorded on, so I screen recorded it before it was lost forever ❤️ I had a very hard labor that ended in an emergency c-section with very little epidural left, so I felt everything. I went into labor around 5am, got the epidural around 7am, and then had him at 7.36pm. I process anesthesia very fast, but nobody ever listens to me and my Dr wouldn't give me another epidural. This was taken the afternoon after I had him, when I could finally hold him without crying and shaking from pain. I couldn't get out of the bed on my own for 3 days, so we stayed in the hospital for a total of 4 days post-surgery. Hayden had went to shower and handed him to me before he got in. I was playing the CCR Pandora playlist that I played for Hunter constantly throughout my pregnancy, and didn't know Hayden was recording. He showed this to me days later and said it nearly made him cry because it was so sweet of a moment. My first time holding him, and rocking him to some of my favorite music. You can see how clenched my jaw is as I was fighting the pain to be able to hold my baby.
