Inside the United States of America Embassy in Lagos, 24th April, 2018, I was being decorated as a Human Rights Ambassador by the then Consul General, Mr John Bray in conjunction with Constitutional Rights Awareness and Liberty Initiative(CRALI). Like the two other Nigerians decorated, we were charged to use our voice, platforms, experience and status to promote the frontiers of Human Rights. We were informed on the low score card of the Nigerian Nation in terms of human rights and how it is affecting the Justice, Peace and Development of Nigeria. I humbly and gladly accepted the responsibility and promised never to back down in the face of lies, defamation, persecution, hates and criminality while doing this. I humbly enjoin you to also key into Human Rights and contribute you quota into the growth of this country. Nigeria needs you. In October 2018, I established my own Human Rights NGO called BREAK THE SILENCE FOUNDATION. And we are determined to get enough home grown volunteers to advocate, volunteer and defend human rights. In 2023, I became a certified HUMAN RIGHTS CONSULTANT with UNITED STATES INSTITUTE OF DIPLOMACY AND HUMAN RIGHTS(USIDHR). You are always welcome. Just send me whatsapp chat via - 08029062692. I will be glad to have you in Break The Silence Foundation. - Yomi Fabiyi
🚨BREAKING: King Okpabi speaking outside court now on this momentous day in court for The People vs Big Oil. We’re outside the Royal Courts of Justice today in solidarity with Nigeria, ahead of the beginning of a groundbreaking court case: the Bille and Ogale communities vs Shell. Since 1958, Shell’s oil extraction has devastated the region, leaving it among the world’s most polluted, and now, after a ten year battle, 13,000+ Niger Deltans are finally getting their day in court. 🔥Since 2011, Shell has publicly reported over 1,000 oil leaks amounting to over 17.5 million litres of oil spilled across the Niger Delta. 🔥The life expectancy in the region is ten years lower than the rest of Nigeria, because of Shell’s crimes 🔥UNEP estimates it would take 5 years to clean the land and 25 years to clean the water. AND NOW Shell wants to walk away without cleaning up their mess! We stand in full solidarity with the Niger Delta’s demand that Shell must CLEAN UP and PAY UP for their crimes. #JusticeforNigeria #ShellCrimesInCourt #ShellKills
Dele Farotimi Hurriedly Prosecuted And Sent To Prison After Being Denied Bail By A Kangaroo 🦘 Court And Judge in Ekiti The Nigerian justice system continues to fall short of expectations, once again showcasing its incompetence as activist and lawyer, Dele Farotimi, has been hastily prosecuted and denied bail by a kangaroo 🦘 court and judge in Ado Ekiti, in what appears to be a premeditated plan to silence him. The proceedings is orchestrated by the judiciary, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), and Chief Afe Babalola (SAN). The Ekiti State Command's Rapid Response Squad (formerly SARS) abducted Dele Farotimi under dubious circumstances. His case has now been adjourned to December 10, 2024, leaving him unjustly imprisoned. What is even more alarming is the reported request by Afe Babalola for all existing hard copies of Dele Farotimi’s book to be confiscated and taken out of circulation. Such an act, if true, is nothing short of tyranny. Silencing dissenting voices by erasing their intellectual contributions reflects the oppressive tactics of an elite class desperate to maintain its grip on power. This is not just an attack on Dele Farotimi but a direct affront to freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and the right to information. Nigerians must rise against this tyranny by purchasing the book and making it a bestseller. Let the oppressors see that their efforts to stifle truth will only amplify it. This incident underscores a disturbing pattern: the wealthy and powerful using the Nigeria Police Force to harass, intimidate, and kidnap those who challenge their interests. From Afe Babalola to MFM General Overseer Dr. Olukoya and others, countless victims, many of whom are unknown or without social media presence, remain unjustly detained in prisons across the country. The Nigeria Police Force continues to engage in illegal arrests, abductions, and acts of state-sponsored terror against citizens, perpetuating a system of fear and injustice. Enough is enough. Nigerians must demand an end to these illegal arrests and state-sponsored kidnappings. It is time to stand united against oppression and demand justice for all, starting with the immediate release of Dele Farotimi. #FreeDeleFarotimiNow #eketbloodson #FreeDeleFarotimiNow #fyp #nigeriatiktok #govital_video #eket #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp #ekettiktoker #govitalvideotiktok
