HERNANDEZ FAMILY UPDATE: Arya and Emma are now out of foster care and the Hernandez family’s DFCS case is officially closed! The girls are not able to return home yet due to the criminal charges, but they are finally back with family. Thank you to everyone who has supported Matt, Tuckey, Arya, and Emma since their story was first shared back in October. See links in the comments for ways to continue supporting the reunification of their family. “Thank you so much for all prayers and your hard work everyone, thank you everyone who been sharing our story, talk about us, donation for us, buy our T-shirt, helping out anyways you can to help us. I’m so thankful. Tomorrow the girls will move to family. Even though they not come home with us, they will be with family. Praise the Lord.” - @Tuckey Hernandez Update on Kylie: After taking the past 48 hours to cry, pray, cuddle Kylie, talk with Kylie’s doctors and cry and pray some more, her dad and I have decided to accept offers from all donors. 🫁 The scary part is they have never done a lung transplant on a baby that is not a blood match. We left our home, jobs, friends, family and even our nine year old daughter behind in Virginia to come to Texas because they are the best in the country, so we trust them. We believe in our hearts that God would not have brought us this far for nothing. Kylie has been defying odds her whole life and we believe she will continue to do that.🩷 We don’t understand what God’s plan is yet but we believe that God is going to give Kylie her miracle. So we are going to trust Him (and her doctors) and continue on this journey.🩷 We woke up this morning feeling peace about our decision and I want to thank each person from the bottom of my heart for all the prayers, texts, comments, messages, and support you all have shown us. 🩷 This journey is so difficult but yall bring us so much comfort and hope. We couldn’t do this without each of you. I feel like you all are our family and I’m so grateful. 🩷 The last 48 hours have been good for Kylie. She has not had a fever for the past 24 hours. Her heart rate and blood pressure have come down and remained stable. 🩷 She started a new breathing treatment to help get rid of the infection that has spread through out her body. Her electrolytes have been low so we started a treatment plan to help with that. Her blood gas showed her CO2 was high this morning so we will be keeping an eye on that as well. Once again, thank you all so much for the prayers and support. I know Kylie is having a better day today because of your prayers. 🩷 Please continue to pray that this infection goes away and that a donor is found soon 🙏🏼 You can follow Kylie’s story on her Facebook page: Kylie’s Lung Transplant Journey Any mail for Kylie can be sent to: Ashley Overfield 2429 Bissonnet ST Box 117 Houston, TX 77005 Kylie’s wishlist: https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/G1UNTZC4GY16 Kylie’s sibling’s wishlist: https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/3T8AMLMXQFSAK Venmo: @Ashley-HaasOverfield https://gofund.me/1cadcf93 🩷 #foryoupage #foryoupageofficiall #foryou #babytok #kylie #kylieslungtransplantjourney #christiantiktok #organdonor #babykylie #lungtransplant #raredisease #donorbaby #specialneedsmom #lifewithkids #texaschildrenshospital #nbc #fox #today **Update on the Blind Dog** This evening, I received a completely blind dog at my office, brought to me from Phuntsholing by the kind and compassionate Mr. Thinley Jurmeey. The dog was rescued by Ms. Passang Dema, who resides in Phuntsholing. She encountered the dog in a dire condition and, upon realizing it was blind, took it into her care. About a week ago, I came across her post regarding the blind dog and felt a deep sense of pity. I reached out to her, expressing my desire to help. Mr. Thinley Jurmeey, who was in Phuntsholing at the time, generously volunteered to transport the dog to Thimphu for a better life. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to both of them for their selfless assistance. The blind dog has safely arrived at my place, and I have conducted a thorough examination, administering all necessary vaccinations and medications. Unfortunately, I have confirmed that the dog is completely blind, and it appears that no treatment can restore its sight. Nevertheless, the dog is now under my care, and I am committed to providing it with the best possible love and attention. This poor blind dog has become a part of my family, and I will not leave it alone for even a moment. Wherever I go, I will take this blind dog with me, alongside my own dog, Zeus. Once again, I would like to express my gratitude to Ms. Passang Dema for rescuing this blind dog and for completing all the necessary documentation and approvals for its transfer to Thimphu. I also extend my sincere thanks to Mr. Thinley Jurmeey, who sacrificed his valuable time and incurred personal expenses to ensure the dog’s safe arrival at my home. This is truly a part of our shared dharma, and I deeply appreciate the kindness shown by all involved. @Passang Dema @shin @Zeus Nakulu dog shelter org
