People often think you can forward face your child from 6 months onwards and while this is legally possible, it is rarely ever safe to do so. When to switch rear-facing to forward-facing car seat? -Read seat indications. It is best to keep rear facing until reaching maximum weight/height for that position. Don't switch to forward facing just because baby is 1 or 2 years old. Safer to keep in rear facing as much as possible. They are not uncomfortable. Just follow car seat guidelines.
