Unless if you have specific needs for your hair and skin routine, it’s best to leave the products at home. 🧳Overweight luggage: I struggled a lot lugging around my bags. (thankfully Japan has storage lockers and bag shipping services at hotels and convenience stores.) 👘Sleepwear: Leave your cozy sleepwear at home! Your hotel will most likely have some loungewear for you to sleep in. This could range from yukata robes to cozy, cool lounge shirt and pants. ☂️Umbrellas: Some hotels have free umbrella rentals! If you prefer to not bring one from home, you can pick one up at the convenience store. ✅DO’S: 🫧Sanitizer, soaps, & hand cloths: when going to public restrooms you’ll need them after doing your business. Even though Japan is known for being a clean society, some restrooms may not have soaps or paper towels. 🧦Socks: for walking into spaces that require you to take off your shoes. 👚Clothes that dry easily: some hotels have a laundry service but unfortunately don’t have dryers. Best to use the sun when drying clothes or find a full laundry service. 🧼Deodorant: Japanese deodorant isn’t always great for foreigners as it may not match with your bodies chemistry.
