I was in Sevilla for 3 days and here were the best eats : 🍝 Truffle Mushroom Pasta (+ Riverside Views) : @mariatrifulca 🍦 Frozen Yogurt : @llaollao 🐠 Grilled Whole Red Snapper : @elrestaurantecabanota The frozen yogurt was so fresh and tangy and I loved the fresh fruit + sauce options (dark chocolate sauce was our go-to). El Restaurante Cabañota ONLY has fish and seafood on the menu (no sides, veggies or grains in sight). We got the Whole Red Snapper to share, going with the waiter’s suggestion of half fried and half grilled. Tapas bars in Sevilla = my heaven 💭😍✨ 1. Bodeguita Antonio Romero You have the option to go to the bar area here and eat tapas or sit at a table in the “restaurant” area and order “platos” (full portions). I highly recommend choosing the tapas bar option. If you make a reservation you will be sitting in the restaurant so in my opinion it’s better to just show up to the bar area and snag a spot! - Piripi and Pringá are both montaditos (finger sandwiches) and they are delicious! The Bodeguita Antonio Romero is especially famous for its Piripi, which is now so famous it is included as one of the sandwiches on the menu of the national food chain 100 Montaditos. But of course going to the original place where it was created will always be the best option! 2. El Rinconcillo This is the oldest tapas bar in Sevilla dating back to 1670! They have the same ordeal as Bodeguita Antonio Romero in that you can get a table where they only serve full portions in the restaurant area, but I recommend snagging a spot in the bar area and eating tapas for a true Spanish experience. - Espinacas con Garbanzos is a spinach and chickpea dish. It sounds boring, but it is actually AMAZING. I was very surprised how much I loved it the first time I tried it. - Bacalao con Tomate translates to “cod with tomato” and that is exactly what it is: cod cooked in a tomato sauce - I completely forgot to mention to order the “Carillada” here. It is a stew of pork cheek and if that sounds weird to you, don’t let it scare you off because it is DELICIOUS! I make everyone try it and it is most of my visitors’ favorite tapa! 3. Casa Ricardo Croquetas are my favorite tapa! The crispy crunchy outside with the delicious creamy inside that explodes in your mouth when you take a bite… need I say more? Casa Ricardo has the best croquetas in Sevilla! 4. Catalina La Barra This is a modern tapas bar that only opened in June 2023 but it is all the rage in Sevilla now! 5. Casa Paco This is a modern tapas bar. It is not new but the tapas style is more modern! Lots of outdoor seating and there is no “tapas bar.” You will sit at a table.
