When painting onto wood or MDF it is important to make sure that you prepare the surface in order for the paint to adhere. You can buy a primer or use a mist coat as a primer. The mist coat absorbs into the wood. Then you can paint normally over the top. I also used knotting solution directly on the knots in the wood. #cladding #tongueandgroove #panelling #featurewall #homeinteriordesign

You can paint mdf! Even if you sanded and visible particle board. These are shelves for an upcoming bookcase. Some trim is wood, but most is engineered with fake wood grain. The dents already showed the particle board and some bubbles needed to be sanded down. If needed you can ask some wood filler to make it smooth, but either way PRIMER is so important!
