Korean side dish: Sesame broccoli recipe ⬇️ ~1 lb fresh or frozen broccoli 3 tbsp sesame oil 3-4 pinches of salt Roasted sesame seeds 2 tsp minced garlic Green onions 1. Boil water in a large pot 2. Mix sesame oil, salt, roasted sesame seeds, garlic, and green onions. Set it aside 3. Boil broccoli for 1-2 minutes or until desired texture. You want it to have a bite to it. Don’t want it soft. 4. Drain out the water and put the broccoli in an ice bath to stop it from cooking 5. Drain well and mix in the seasoning. Taste it and adjust the seasoning if to your liking. 6. For the Pancakes:▪️1 Cup Flour▪️1/2 tsp Kosher Salt▪️1 Cup Water▪️1 Cup Leek Greens, sliced thin▪️1/2 Cup Carrot, grated▪️3 Scallions, sliced in 1” pieces▪️1/2 Cup Red Cabbage, sliced in thin 1" strips▪️1 Jalapeño, seeds removed sliced in thin 1” strips▪️2 Tbsp Avocado Oil▪️ . For the Sauce:▪️2 Tbsp Soy Sauce▪️1 Tbsp Lemon Juice▪️1 tsp Water▪️1 Tbsp Sesame Oil▪️1 tsp Sesame Seeds▪️ . 1️⃣ Mix together the flour, salt, and water 2️⃣ Add the veggies and mix until combined 3️⃣ Mix together the ingredients for the sauce and set aside 4️⃣ Preheat a large pan over medium and add the avocado oil; scoop 1/4 cup batter per pancake and flatten slightly with a spatula; cook 2-3 mins per side until golden brown and then place on a plate lined with paper towel to remove excess oil 5️⃣ Dip in the sauce and enjoy! . ⏲20 minute total prep + cook time . Working in batches, scoop 1/4 cup batter per pancake, leaving some space between each.
