Its strawberry season y’all! 🍓 Every season Holland Bottom sells ripe strawberries and people wait in lines that wrap around and out the door to be able to buy the most delicious strawberries ive ever had! They typically open around 12 most days and sometimes can be sold out by 1:30 or 2, so get there early! You still have a few more weeks to enjoy them so dont miss out. Here is part two of my bucket list hike series to do in Arkansas ✨Moonshiner’s Cave Trail is a short but rewarding hike at just .8 miles. This trail is located just before the entrance to Devil’s Den State Park. You might find yourself out of breath but on the way back out to it the 206 feet of elevation gain. It’s best to see this gem during the rainy months as there is a twin waterfall that flows just next to it. ✨Pam’s Grotto Falls is also a .8 mile trail with 206 feet of elevation gain. The steepness in the shortness of mileage will get your heart pumping, but the end goal is worth it. It’s just a short distance from the Haw Creek Campground. ✨Lost Valley Trail is one that most everyone knows about or has completed. This is the trail that I recommend to anyone coming to visit Arkansas. It’s a 2.3 mile trail with 252 feet of elevation gain. It’s best to go during the rainy season so that you may see all of the waterfalls. Even without the water flowing, Cob Cave is worth a visit. If you’re adventurous enough, you can even go above Eden Falls into the cave and catch the waterfall that is flowing in a pitch black cave. ✨Kings River Falls Trail is a personal favorite of mine. It’s such a beautiful hike the entire way along the Kings River to the wstetfall. It’s only 1.8 miles and 45 feet of elevation gain making this an easy trail for most everyone. ✨Paradise Falls is a more challenging trail. It’s 2.8 miles and 593 feet of elevation gain. There are several waterfalls along the way making this an incredibly scenic hike. Be careful if you choose to go to the base of the waterfall. There is a rope to help with getting down, but the hill is incredibly slick and nothing but mud after some rain. #arkansas #arkansascheck #waterfallsoftiktok #hiketokadventure #hikingszn

The Oark General Store opened its doors in 1890 and is the oldest continuously operating store in Arkansas. HERE IS PART SIX OF MY BUCKET LIST HIKE SERIES IN ARKANSAS:  ✨Twin Falls has 3 different routes to access it and each involves some strenuous hiking to access it along with creek crossings (no way around that). The route in the Tim Ernst book is probably the easiest and shortest and I believe is around 4.5 miles. The campground trailhead is close to the same but has more water crossings and ridge line trails. Then there’s Sandstone Castle access which is over 6 miles and a lot of elevation gain. It’s also my favorite way to access Twin Falls. ✨Richland Falls is located near Twin Falls and is accessed from the Twin Falls trails. The trail follows the right of the creek and has some narrow ledge parts that can be slick so be careful. The swing is icing on the cake and it’s a great swimming hole too. ✨Hawksbill Crag is a 2.7 mile out and back moderate trail with 344 feet of elevation gain. This trail is super popular in Arkansas and iconic for a reason. It’s also a great sunrise location. ✨Rattlesnake Ridge is a 2 or 3.2 mile trail depending on the route you take. Cliffbrake is my preferred route with around 300-400 feet of elevation gain. You can traverse across the entire ridge or stop about halfway which is my preferred spot. I love to watch the sunset from that vantage point. ✨Eden Falls Cave via Lost Valley Trail is around 2.3 miles and 252 feet of elevation gain. This trail is rated as moderate, and it can be treacherous accessing the cave due to the narrow pathway and slick limestone surfaces around the area so be careful. Once in the cave, you’ll head inwards until you access the waterfall room. When I went, I crawled through a narrow space but there’s also a way to just walk in. Waterfalls will always be my favorite part of Arkansas, and this one is SO easy to get to!! When Paul and I first started dating six years ago, we would spend our weekends waterfall chasing with the Arkansas Waterfalls book by Tim Ernst. It was the perfect way to get to know each other on a beautiful hike without any distractions. And getting to check a stunning waterfall off the list was always icing on the cake!
