Olympic National Park - 📍Hoh Rain Forest . One of the largest temperate rainforests in the U.S & located on the Olympic Peninsula. Deemed one of the quietest places in America. . The Hoh Rain Forest is one of four rain forests on the Olympic Peninsula but the only one that has been awarded the distinction of being a World Heritage Site & a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. . The Hoh Rain Forest has reported getting up to 14 feet or yearly average of 140 inches of rain a year with an additional 30 inches being contributed by the fog and mist that accumulates in the trees and moss. . When traveling to Hoh Rain Forest bring your rain gear, warm layers, rain boots & be ready for an adventure. . You are able to come for the day or stay and camp within the rainforest. They have 72 sites available and they book up fast, so make arrangements ahead of time. . Trails to enjoy! . Hall of Mosses trail is .8 miles and is an iconic loop that takes you through old growth forests and features the famous grove of maple trees draped with abundant club moss. . The Spruce Nature Trail is a diverse trail loop that offers both old and new growth forest and walks along the Taft Creek and Hoh River. . Hoh River Traul is the main hiking trail and offers an abundance of things to see, do and explore. You can take it as far as 18.5 miles to Blue Glacier or stop at Glacier Meadows at 17.3 miles. There is mineral creek falls 2.7 miles in, Cedar grove 4 miles in, and 5 mile island at 5 miles in. . . We were lucky and got to see 3 different herds or Roosevelt Elk while visiting. Also known as Olympic Elk. These are the largest of the 4 North American species and named after President Theodore Roosevelt. . We also got to see a mama deer and baby. . . Definitely a memorable trip to Hoh Rain Forest and one we will never forget. Hoping to get back soon to do the longer trail and possibly camp in such a breathtaking place. . . ✨6 epic places in Olympic National Park✨ The Hurricane Ridge Area is back open since June 27 after the fire. But here's the thing: they're only allowing 345 vehicles per day now. So if you're planning to go, make sure you get there early! Another option is to take the public shuttle at Port Angeles. 📍Hurricane Hill Trail This is a well-paved out-and-back trail with amazing snow mountain views along the way about 3.4 miles long. It’s perfect for all hikers! Also there’s a super high chance to see deers in spring and summer🦌 Highly recommend it! 📍Hurricane Ridge Big Meadow Loop Big Meadow Loop is a super easy short trail barely with elevation gain. You’ll be surrounded by the majestic Olympic Mountains without too much effort. 📍Devil's Punchbowl If jumping into deep water is your thing, then this is the place to be! But even if water jumping isn't your cup of tea, you'll still be blown away by the absolutely stunning diamond-like blue water here! 📍Hoh Rain Forest One of the largest temperate rainforests in the U.S.! Strolling through the mossy rainforest on a hot summer day is really cool and relaxing. 📍Lake Crescent Crystal-clear waters, lush forests, and towering mountains all around. It's a paradise for nature lovers and adventure seekers! 📍Kalaloch Beach One of the most popular tidepool areas in Olympic NP is right here. (Btw the other one is Mora's Hole in the Wall.) Storm King - a hard, but very rewarding, 4.1 mile hike with sweeping views!⠀ ⠀ ▪Hurricane Ridge - (hike: Sunset Point, Klahhane Ridge and Hurricane Hill! Hike Obstruction Point if you want an epic, longer journey)!⠀ ⠀ Time permitting, add these spots to your list, too:⠀ ▪Beaches: Shi-Shi Beach, Ruby Beach, 2nd beach and Kalaloch Beach (be sure to go find the 𝙏𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙇𝙞𝙛𝙚)!
