Everything you NEED to know! ⬇️ 🚆 Alright, so comparing the coach seat that was 10 hours from Raleigh to NYC, this was SO much nicer! The coach seat still was not bad, but this business class experience was really great. 💺 Seat type - Business ⏱️ Total time - 3 1/2 hours 📍 Number of stops - 7 (NYC to DC but the full route has 14) 💲 Cost per person - *SEE GUIDE on page 2 for pricing breakdown!* ➡️ Starting destination - Boston, MA ➡️ Ending destination - Union Station, DC 🧳 Bags - 1 Personal item (25lb), 2 Carry on-items (50lb each) AND checked bags (more $) 🚆 Train - Acela 📍Stops - (MA - Boston South Station, Boston Back Bay Station, Route 128) - (RI - Amtrak/MBTA Station) - (CT - New Haven, Stamford) - NYC - (NJ - Newark, Metropark) - Philadelphia - Wilmington, DE - (MD - Baltimore Penn Station, Baltimore BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport) - DC Union Station Overall opinion - Business class was SO much more comfortable and relaxing than coach (even though coach was still a 7/10 experience)! The food was much nicer on this Acela train, they had freshly local made pastries and overnight oats for example. The company around was focused and most likely commuting between NYC and DC for work. This was a quick ride, but a 10/10 experience! ✅ 🗒️ The main things to note: Wifi was still spotty but the cell service was better on this route since we were going through very developed routes, leg room is great, you have a nicer tray than coach, bathrooms were nicer and cleaner than coach FOR SURE, the service attendants were very mindful and made sure everyone was taken care of and don’t sleep on the food for the Acela train! Like we said, much better options and it was fresh which was not expected but appreciated! We have ONE more video for you where we took a Roomette from DC back to Raleigh, so stay tuned.
