Trump has repealed the Equal Employment Opportunity Order. This order was signed by President Lyndon B Johnson in 1965. It prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin, and religion in federal jobs.

This is NOT the same thing as the Equal Employment Opportunity Act of 1972, which prohibits such discrimination in the private sector.

Notably, Trump has directed the AG to reverse its enforcement of the Supreme Court ruling in Bostock v. Clayton County GA (2020) which held that firing an employee based on sexual orientation or gender identify was illegal under the Civil Rights Act.

Finally, Trump has repealed—probably pending revisions—The EEOCs guidance on workplace harassment.

This all comes after Trump has issued orders to freeze or shut down all DEI initiatives in his jurisdiction.
