8 MUST see stops along the Icefield Parkway🚗🏔️

In order as shown in the video:

📍Athabasca Falls
📍Sunwapta Falls
📍Athabasca Glacier
📍Maligne Canyon
📍Peyto Lake
📍Bow Lake
📍Maligne Lake
📍Spirit Island

However, the order in which you would drive is this…

💙Bow Lake - if you’re driving from Banff to Jasper, it will be on your left-hand side and there are plenty of pull offs to stop and enjoy the view!

🐺Peyto Lake - in order to see the iconic wolf shaped lake, you must hike 1.5 miles up a steady incline. There’s a parking lot below but it fills up QUICK.

🏔️Maligne Canyon - this was a super short hike from the parking lot. It’s easy to get down to, but a bit of an incline on the way back. It’s a bit further down the icefield parkway.

🧊Athabasca Glacier - you can either do the hike to the toe of the glacier (less than a mile) or you can book a tour to actually walk on the glacier! We did both and definitely recommend getting to walk on the glacier.

☀️Sunwapta Falls - super easy stop, literally right off of the highway. There are hikes, but the viewpoint is basically in the parking lot

🏔️Athabasca Falls - another easy stop right off the side of the highway. The falls are on the left side of the road and the rock view point is on the right side. It’s pretty easy to find!

🩵Maligne Lake - this stop is in Jasper NP, and it’s a stunning lake! We actually did a boat tour but you can also kayak to….

🛶Spirit Island- you can’t come to Jasper NP and not see the iconic spirit island. The only way here is by a boat tour or to kayak. Though kayaking would take ALL day. We do regret not kayaking it though, so I guess we will have to go back 😉

Which stop is your favorite?👀

📌Save this for your next trip to @vegas 🚐👀 If you’re going to Vegas and want something to do besides casinos… @travelnevada has so many hidden gems that are 1-2 hours away from the city 🤯 🌈7 magic mountains has been on my bucket list since they installed them back in 2016. It’s a random stop but totally worth it. Just make sure you get there at sunrise to avoid all the people. 🔥Valley of Fire is a stunning state park with so many fun hikes to do. We were only there for a day, but we felt like that was enough time to hit the major highlights. Which were mouse tank road, the fire wave, and white dome trail. 🏜️Cathedral Gorge was definitely hidden gym. I recently heard about the state park and we were blown away. It’s kind of in the middle of nowhere, but worth the drive. We did the Juniper Loop Trail and felt like we were another planet. 👻Nelson Ghost Town was also in the middle of nowhere. We were just driving through the mountains and all of a sudden there’s this little town on the side of the road. It was free unless you walked around longer than 15 minutes and then it was a dollar person. It’s definitely a unique stop with all kinds of antique buildings, cars, gas pumps, and more. Which is your favorite?👀 #visitnevada #vistvegas #travel #outdoors #rvlife #travelcouple

You can’t miss this hike in Banff National Park 🤯🏔️ We did the Little Beehive via Lake Agnes trail at sunrise, so we caught the golden hour glow on the peaks and it was the most magical experience we’ve ever had🥹 But—early mornings mean chilly starts, so layer up! 🧥(even in July which is when we went) This area is in Grizzly territory, so don’t forget your bear spray and make plenty of noise. 🐻 Safety first! We went with our friends @georgeandcris and honestly we wouldn’t have attempted this just the two of us. 😅 HIKE DETAILS👇🏽 📍Trail Name - Little Beehive via Lake Agnes, Banff NP 🥾Distance - 4.6 miles 🏔️Elevation Gain - 1,312 ft 🔸Rated Moderate on @alltrails Tag someone you’d hike this with! 💌 #banff #banffnationalpark #canadahikes #albertahikes #hikingadventures #nationalparks #outdoorlife

This might be the best 24-hour itinerary for Olympic National Park 👀🌲 We explored this incredible park in September and packed as much as we could into a single day! From waterfalls to coastal sunsets, here’s everything you need to know to plan your own adventure: 🚗 Start your day: 🏔️ Madison Creek Falls MUST DO: Quick .2-mile walk to a stunning waterfall. We were there in September but in the summer we’ve seen pictures of it much more full 🌀 Devil’s Punch Bowl MUST DO: A 2.5-mile hike with crystal blue water. Feel free to take a dip but it is COLD 🥶 🩵 Marymere Falls MUST DO: A 1.5-mile hike to a picture-perfect cascade. We loved the hike to the waterfall more than the waterfall itself. But again, we were there in September so it wasn’t nearly as full as it is in the summer. 🌲 Big Maple Leaf Tree, Fairholme MUST DO: A short walk from the parking lot to see a massive maple. Also walk out to the boat pier for a beautiful view of Lake Crescent 🥾 Sol Duc Falls MUST DO: A 1.8-mile hike to one of the park’s most iconic waterfalls! This one was pretty busy so get there early! 🌅 Sunset at Cape Flattery MUST DO: A 1.2-mile trail to the westernmost point in the continental U.S.—perfect for ending the day! You can’t miss this hike in Mt. Rainier National Park 🤯🏔️ We did this hike at sunset, so the first 3 miles weren’t in the dark, but the last 3 were. 🫣 we weren’t in Grizzly territory but there are black bears so still come prepared with bear spray. 🐻 And this was actually the first hike we ever used head lamps… we honestly can’t believe we ever hiked in the dark without them. They are a game. changer. 👏🏼 HIKE DETAILS👇🏽 📍Trail Name - Tolmie Peak in Mt. 📌Save this for your next trip to Oregon🌊🌲 Samuel H. Boardman State Park is located right off of the famous Highway 101 and follows that coast line for 12 miles! There are so many scenic spots to pull off and enjoy this state park but arguably the most iconic view is Natural Bridges Viewpoint. Natural Bridges Viewpoint is right off on the side of the road so you don’t have to hike. But the view you may see on social media about it no longer exists due to it being too dangerous and people falling off the steep and narrow trail… so here is the alternative hike that we did instead TRAIL DETAILS👇🏽 📍Trail - Secret Beach Trail 🥾Distance - 1.9 miles 📈Rated Moderate on @alltrails ☁️Elevation Gain - 406ft We didn’t hike this entire trail. It eventually forks and we took the left route to the ocean lookout and then hiked back to the car. Be sure to wear hiking boots because this trail is steep😅 Send this to someone you want to roadtrip the Oregon Coast with 💌 #oregon #exploreoregon #pacificnorthwest #pnw #pnwroadtrip #roadtrip #usaroadtrip #travel #hiking

You need to add this lake to your bucket list😍🩵 Things to know BEFORE visiting Lake Moraine👇🏽 🎟️ As of 2023, you need to book a shuttle in order to experience this beautiful lake in Banff NP. We recommend to book well in advance, but there is a raffle everyday at 8am where you can check for tickets at a better time. (That’s what we did). ⏰We booked a shuttle to lake moraine at 8am. 🚗Parked at the main lot 📋Checked in at the kiosk 🚍Hopped on the bus that said Lake Moraine You can get back on the bus at basically anytime, and a ride to Lake Louise is also included if you also wanted to visit there as well. 🛶Also as of 2024 you can no longer bring your own water craft… so if you want to get out on the water you’ll have to pay to rent a kayak. It’s currently $160 CAD for 1 hour) Send this to someone you want to visit Banff with💌 #travel #outdoorsy #travelcouple #banffnationalpark #lakemoraine
