A big non-negotiable part of MCAT prep involves reviewing all the practice MCAT exams you complete. But do you only need to review the questions you wrong? 🤔
Here’s how Meera, a Blueprint MCAT instructor who scored a 528 on her MCAT, reviewed her MCAT practice tests when she was prepping for the MCAT.
💡 Pro-Tip: We make reviewing questions and practice tests easy with a little help from our AI MCAT tutor Blue! 💙 Blue will help you better understand why you chose (or didn’t choose) an answer and then creates takeaways for you to come back to in our integrated Lessons Learned Journal. Have you heard about the MCAT physics right-hand rule? The right-hand rule is a mnemonic device used to determine the direction of a magnetic field, force, or current. It provides a way to visualize how these elements interact in electromagnetic systems, which is crucial for solving these types of problems on the MCAT. Arguably, the right-hand rule is a “low-yield” topic. On a single exam, you’ll probably only see a handful of points that are directly related to the right-hand rule, if you even see any questions about it at all! So, why even learn this? 🤔 Because it’s fast, easy to memorize, and can directly result in points earned (or missed) on your exam. On the off chance that you DO see a few questions about it, you should be able to quickly snag some free points and pad that MCAT Chem/Phys score, rather than stress and waste time in an already anxiety-inducing section. Let us know if you try this on your next practice test! #premedstudent #premed #blueprintmcat #medschool #premedlife #premedadvice #mcattiktok #premedtips #futuredoctor #medicalschool #mcat #mcatprep #mcattips #mcatadvice #mcatstudying #physics #ConSantanderConecto

·1-8The 2025 MCAT season starts Friday! Here are some general MCAT tips to make your prep and test day go a lot smoother: ⭐️ One of the biggest mistakes you can make is underestimating how LONG it takes to prepare for the MCAT. Ideally, you should start four to six months in advance. ⭐️ Don’t skip taking full-length MCAT practice tests under test-like conditions. ⭐️ Content review is important, but practice is just as important—if not more! ⭐️ Don’t ignore your mental or physical health. They’re just as important as your practice exam scores. ⭐️ Pack your MCAT bag the day before and arrive early to your test center. ⭐️ Don’t feel bad about taking all your breaks! Do you have any MCAT tips or words of advice that worked for you? ·2024-12-31Here’s a super simplified timeline if you want to start med school in 2026. ⏸️ Remember, this timeline is only a big picture view of the AMCAS application. Med school admissions is nuanced and your timeline may not fit neatly into this list of dates. For example, you might be taking your MCAT in January and that’s also a great plan! ❄️ January 2025 - Take a diagnostic MCAT. - Start looking into what kind of prep you’ll need and creating your study plan. - Start researching medical schools. 💕 February 2025 - Continue your MCAT prep. - Begin gathering information and documents for your application (transcripts, etc). 🌦️ March-April 2025 - If you started prepping in January, then March MCAT dates will be the first realistic exams you should take. - Start drafting personal statement. - If you haven’t already, start cultivating relationships with professors/advisors you’ll want to write you an LOR. 🌻 May 2025 - Finalize your personal statement. - Request LORs. - AMCAS opens in May, but you can’t submit until the end of the month. Note that the TMDSAS and AACOMAS also open in May. - This is the last month to take the MCAT AND have enough time to retake (if needed) AND apply early. 😎 June 2025 - Submit your AMCAS primary application.
☀️ July 2025 - Primary applications verified by AMCAS. - Complete and submit secondaries. 🍁 September 2025 - Interview invites start arriving. Practice your interview skills! 🎃 October 2025 - 💕February 2026 - Make a great impression in your med school interviews. 💐 Spring 2026 - Admissions decisions are trickling in. Financial aid and your decision should also be finalized. 😎 Summer 2026 - Focus on preparing for med school and relaxing. - Any pre-matriculation programs or requirements should be completed. 🥼 August 2026 - Start medical school and get ready for the next phase of your journey. You did it! 🎉 #premedstudent #premed #blueprintmcat #premedlife #medschool #mcattiktok #mcat #futuredoctor #premedtips #premedadvice #applyingtomedschool #premedmotivation #premeds #mcatprep #medicalschool #mcathacks #medicalstudent #mcattips #mcatstudying #newyearnewme

·2024-12-23Does it seem like no matter how hard you try, you can’t seem to gain any more score increases on your full-length exams? You might be in an MCAT score plateau. 😓 Check out these tips from Blueprint MCAT tutor Kathryn! Plateaus are tough, but they’re not the end—they’re part of the journey. If you’ve hit a point where progress feels slow or stagnant, don’t get discouraged. This is just the moment where your hard work is about to pay off. Keep pushing through, keep refining your strategy, and trust that growth happens even when it feels like nothing is changing. Progress isn’t always linear, but every study session, every practice test, and every challenge is moving you closer to your goal. Stay focused, stay determined, and remember: persistence always leads to breakthroughs. 🙌 #mcat #mcatprep #blueprintmcat #mcatstudying #mcattips #mcathacks #mcatadvice #mcatstudy #premed #premedadvice #premedstudent #premedlife #premedmotivation #premedtips #premeds #premedical #mcatmotivation

·2024-12-20When students express interest in becoming doctors, a common question they face is: “Are you going to be premed?” A common misconception is future med students must be premed majors. However, pre-med isn’t really a major. 🚨 Not all universities have formal pre-med programs, but they usually do have advising and resources for premeds. The good news is you can be any major you want and still apply to medical school as long as you complete the pre-med requirements (the required courses, activities, etc). Check out this video to learn more about the pre-med track and then drop your major in the comments! 💬 #premedstudent #premed #blueprintmcat #premedlife #medschool #mcattiktok #mcat #futuredoctor #premedtips #premedadvice #applyingtomedschool #premedmotivation #premeds

·2024-11-29Your extracurricular activities are just as important for your professional development as they are for your medical school application. Medical schools want to see someone who is intellectually curious, service-oriented, kind, empathetic, hard-working, trustworthy, culturally competent, and resilient. They want someone who has a realistic view of what being a physician is like and is aware of the sacrifices necessary to become a physician. They want someone with leadership potential, but humble enough to ask for help and admit when they’re wrong. However, it is entirely up to you to determine how you will develop these qualities and convey them through your application. Here are 3️⃣ examples of extracurriculars you should consider before applying to medical school. #premedstudent #premed #blueprintmcat #premedlife #medschool #mcattiktok #mcat #futuredoctor #premedtips #mcatprep #mcattips #premedadvice #applyingtomedschool #premedlife #premedmotivation #premeds #scribing #shadowing #clinicalexperience
