Title : The Perfect Wife Author : JP Delaney Publisher : Ballantine Books Genres : Psychological Thriller Pages : 471 Book rating : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ How would you feel if you woke up in the hospital, your husband was by your side, and you found out that you were not a human but a cobot? At first I was like, am I going to be interested in this book or am I going to put it aside as DNF? As I start to read it, I’m glued into it. Seriously! A unique psycho thriller. Five years ago, the real Abbie died in a surfing accident. The authorities think that Tim killed his wife, but there is no solid evidence to prove that. Abbie awakens to discover that, through the wonders of science, she has been saved to return to her life with her husband Tim, the founder of Scott Robotics, and Danny, their autistic son. Tim who could not accept the death of his wife, created a cobot to resemble his wife Abbie. Is it morally right to create a robot with physical characteristics based on someone we know, the memories and the features? Even though Abbie's memory is installed, Tim also tells her that she is a perfect wife and a perfect mother, Abbie wants to find answers by herself to every question that arises in her because she felt that Tim wasn’t telling her everything. Apart from suspenseful, Abbie, a cobot that has feelings. Delaney describes it so beautifully, especially the love between mother and child. Chilling and surprising, full of twists and turns, a sci-fi thriller with an unpredictable ending. #bookstagram #thrillerbooks #jpdelaney #atrandombooks #ballantinebooks #booklover #bookworm #bookclub #bookhaul #haveyoureadthisbook #bookrecommendations #readinstyle #instabook #bookphotography #bookreview #fyp #readers #malaysia #capcut #bibliophile #gratitude

·2023-5-11Title : I Remember You Author : Elisabeth De Mariaffi Publisher : Titan Books Ltd Genres : Psychological Thriller Pages : 480 Book rating : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Heike is a stay-at-home mom. Her husband, Eric, is a psychiatrist. She has no friends. Her son, Daniel, is her everything. What will she do if her son is missing? How is she gonna find him? Did she manage to reunite with her son? One day, Heike took her son to the lake. She enjoyed telling stories and singing rhymes to him. She is shaken when her son befriends a little girl named Tessa. Tessa is alone there with no one around her. And mysteriously, the girl vanished under the water. Heike dives in to save her but no sign of a body. When Heike is confused and trying to uncover the truth about the girl against her husband’s wishes, things get complicated when her son Daniel disappears. Eric, a controlling and dominating husband, blamed her for losing their son. Heike feels guilty and steps out to find her son with the help of Leo Dolan, a writer. At first, I thought it was a horror novel because it had a lot of creepy scenes. The way the author shaped the story is so interesting. It was well written. I’m clueless about what happened to her son and how she is going to find him. It really put me in tense until I finished it. Such a solid piece. Traumatised, fascinating and compelling novel. #bookstagram #thrillerbooks #elisabethdemariaffi #booklover #bookworm #bookclub #bookhaul #haveyoureadthisbook #bookrecommendations #readinstyle #instabook #bookphotography #bookreview #fyp #tiktok #capcut #readers #malaysia #bibliophile #gratitude

·2023-5-13Title : The Boyfriend Author : Freida McFadden Genres : Thriller Pages : 346 Book rating : ⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book is only average for me. For me, I was able to guess a few twists correctly. But the way of presentation and development of the story needs to be praised. The way of writing and the way the mystery is revealed little by little is very neat and thorough. The story is carried in two timelines. Before and present day. The integration of the story at the end is very good. Although it's subtle and doesn't have a wow impact. If we talk about characters, the main character is too dumb. Sorry for the word, but I think there is no more polite word than dumb. Living in her early 30s and working as an accountant, her thinking is very archaic and outdated. It can be said that all the characters are really annoying. Overall, there is no character that I am interested in this novel. The story is about Sydney who wants to find a boyfriend and starts getting to know Tom from an app. Sydney feels suspicious of Tom's behavior, which is very secretive and seems to be hiding something. Meanwhile, Sydney's friend Bonnie is found murdered, and the investigation is very complicated because there is no evidence to trace the killer. #bookstagram #thrillerbook #theboyfriend #freidamcfadden #booklover #bookworm #bookclub #bookhaul #haveyoureadthisbook #bookrecommendations #readinstyle #instabook #bookphotography #bookreview #malaysiareader #pembaca #kindlemalaysia #ebook #bibliophile

The beginning of the story was quite good, but the development of the story and especially the ending...very disappointed. 😔 This is the fourth book by Alice Feeney that I have read. All the other three books are good reads. But this one.... Forgive me. Maybe not my piece of cake. #bookstagram #thrillerbook #iknowwhoyouare #alicefeeney #booklover #bookworm #bookclub #bookhaul #haveyoureadthisbook #bookrecommendations #readinstyle #instabook #bookphotography #bookreview #malaysiareader #pembaca #kindlemalaysia #ebook #bibliophile
