The San Jacinto Battlegrounds and Monument in Houston, Texas. An important battle that took place where Texas won its Independence from the Mexican Governement in which General Santa Anna's army was defeated by General Sam Houston's Texian Army in April of 1836, 2 months after the fall of The Alamo in San Antonio, Texas. The battle only lasted 18 minutes.
