Most of us are chronic over-breathers and don’t even realize it. 😳 Over-breathing results in many health issues, such as:

🔹Panic Attacks and Anxiety
🔹High Blood Pressure
🔹Oxidative Stress (hello premature aging)
🔹Migraines
🔹Chronic Stress

One of the best ways to reverse over-breathing is with anaerobic exercises. A simple yet effective exercise you can do daily is demonstrated in the video.

Step 1: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart.
Step 2: Take a deep breath in through your nose while filling your belly. (This alone can take practice if you are constantly sucking in for a flat belly. Learn to let it all hang loose…at least for this exercise.) Raise your arms up like a mummy.
Step 3: Start descending into a deep squat, counting to 10 while blowing out the air.
Step 4: At the bottom of your squat, hold your breath for 5 seconds.
Step 5: Start slowly coming back up while breathing in to a count of 10.
Step 6: Take a few recovery breaths and repeat 3-5 times.

*You shouldn’t be winded when you finish. If you are, reduce the number of seconds on your ascent and descent, and your hold.
*If it was easy, increase your numbers. Maybe try down for 12 seconds, hold for 6 seconds, and up for 12 seconds. Keep increasing as you improve.

This simple practice will only take you a few minutes a day and can have tremendous impacts on your mind and body. The trick is to DO IT and stay consistent!
