Lisianthus are one of my summer FAVS. This color is absolutely to die for. They take their time growing, so it’s best to start seeds soon! #beginnergardener #gardening101 #cutflowers #zone9b

These 5 easy food growing projects are some of my favourites from my little garden. You don’t need a huge garden to grow your own and the taste and sense of satisfaction is so worth it. I’ve put together over 40 of my favourite projects from veg and fruit, to herbs, wildlife projects and flowers in my new book ‘Give it a grow’. I believe you don’t need to know anything about gardening to start. The gardening bug once caught not only has the potential to stick around for life, but might just grow to be an essential part of it. Yesterday the lovely team @penguinlifebooks took me to see my book being printed. I can’t really describe the feeling of seeing ‘Give it A Grow’ streaming off the production line - 61 books a minute! - really to be packed up and go out in to the world. I just really hope you like it and find it useful. You can preorder it now via the link in my bio ☺️😊☺️. For my lovely US followers - it is not available to order in the US yet but I should have an update for you all on this in the next couple of weeks. Thanks so much to the many of you who’ve been in touch wanting to get a copy! #gardeningforbeginners #containergardening #book

He doesn’t know it, but I signed my husband up for like 10 new extra curricular activities in the garden this spring 😜 If you’re ready for a warm weather project, let me show you how to set up and start growing a kitchen garden the EASY way! Head to my bio to save your seat for the Spring Garden Startup – a free live workshop where I’ll show you literally everything you need to know to make your garden dreams happen this year. That way you can take everything you learned and get your husband briefed on the project he didn't know he agreed to 😉 #garden #gardening #meme #funny #momlife #plantlovers

Goodbye roses 👋 ✂️ 🌹 hello rose plants that will grow my Valentine’s roses for the rest of my life 😭❤️ How to grow rose plants from stems 🌹🥀 ✂️ Cut the heads off - it hurts now but it’s all for the greater good 🌿 strip off the lower leaves just leaving the ones at the top ✂️ trim the bottom at a 45° angle ✂️ make some cuts (or peel) the bottom for roots to grow out 💧 dip in rooting powder, or aloe Vera gel, I’ve also seen honey and turmeric 🪴 put the stems in your soil or compost and water. Keep indoors until spring ⛅️ #roses #gardening #plants #plantsoftiktok #houseplants #houseplant #roseplant

Garlic Butter Sauce Yuca aka Cassava This is my recipe for yuca aka cassava in a garlic butter sauce. Not only is Yuca an easy to grow high yielding food crop, but it is super delicious as well. I encourage you to try this recipe out and grow yuca in your own home backyard garden.  Find this recipe on my website if you want to print, copy, save, or share the text: http://tinyurl.com/3wr99672 Ingredients 8 lbs frozen or fresh yuca roots peeled 2 lbs butter 1/3 cup minced garlic 6 sliced onions 2TBS salt 1 cup chopped cilantro (optional) 1/3 cup lime or lemon juice, or white vinegar Directions 1. Boil the yuca until soft. Frozen yuca usually takes 30-45 minutes to boil. 2. Melt butter with the garlic. Then add onions, salt, cilantro, and choice of lime or lemon juice, or vinegar. Cook on medium heat until the onions have softened up. 3. Taste the garlic butter sauce and add more flavor or seasoning to taste.  4. Place the yuca in an oven safe dish. Try to pull out any of the hard middle stem bits out if you can. 5. Pour the garlic butter sauce over the yuca. 6. Cover the yuca with aluminum foil. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes.  Enjoy! #yuca #cassava #recipes #vegetablesidedish #sidedish #dominicanrecipes #dominicanfood #garden #floridagarden
