I didn’t get to hear the full song until I reviewed the footage and I almost spit my drink all over when she did the “nine ten” part. She always finds a way to brighten the day! #singing #kids #daddysgirl #daddylittleprincess❤️❤️ #snowboardingtoddler #parentingdoneright #cute

A dance I’m sure to never forget! At the time, she had no idea I was trying to match her every turn. This was also when she was 5 and her turns were far more predictable for me to try to synchronize with her. Just so happened that Whitney captured it perfectly and knew right away we needed to put it to @ABBA Dancing Queen! This was in January of ‘22 when little Cashy was 5 years old and she had just started to be comfortable with both of her edges. A slower pace of riding back then but I think we should try to do it again this season now that she’s even more controlled on her board. I suppose we will see if others agree with me or not. -Nick #snowboarding #dancing #cuteness

Yes, we went to New Mexico to go snowboarding! TAOS is undoubtedly the most unique and, in my eyes, the best ski resort you will visit in the continental United States. I’ve had this place on my shred radar for well over a decade now and the mountain did not disappoint one bit! Due to a lower tide snow year, our experience at TAOS was much different than the numerous videos I’ve consumed of their steep and deep terrain. Honestly I am stoked it worked out that way though because we got a TAOS experience unlike anything I had ever seen prior. Ranked 4th by Ski Magazine of the top 30 ski resorts in the western US is a well earned accolade. This mountain is known for being steep (possibly some of the steepest terrain in the USA) but what we experienced is a family friendly destination with zero crowds. Although we didn’t get to push our limits off Kachina Peak, we did get to rip some of the fastest and smoothest groomers we’ve ever experienced. It was sunny spring vibes for our visit with impeccable snow quality on every run. Due to their north facing slopes and a base elevation of 9,200ft, TAOS holds snow very well in between their well known winter dumps! One of the days we rode with a TAOS guide named Dan, an absolute legend of a human! Dan was not only an incredible snowboarder. He educated us on the mountain and its New Mexican culture, showed us some secret spots to come back and rip on a pow day, and was a great hype man and instructor to have riding with us. Come to find out (and makes total sense now), TAOS ski school was ranked 1st in North America by USA Today! We see that now after riding with Dan. Their ski school staff and guides are not just for beginners. If you visit TAOS, I highly recommend riding your first day with a guide so they can show you all the good good on the slopes. Beyond the riding the culture at TAOS is beyond anything we’ve ever experienced at a domestic resort. It felt like we were riding in another country to be honest. Everyone we met was smiling and stoked! We will have another video soon showcasing the lodging, village, town of TAOS, and how to get there. Stay tuned!

I have been snowboarding for about 27 years now and am still learning new things every time we ride! When we got to Taos, we were able to ride with a guide who also happens to be an amazing snowboarder so I didn’t hesitate to ask him to help me improve something basic I’ve been struggling with. Meet our guide Dan and listen to him teach me how to do a proper tail press and ollie. He explained it so perfect that it clicked and I am now so excited to keep working on my pops in order to get more air off jumps. I have always told Cash that I can’t ask her to do something that I am not willing to try myself. See Nick has done the park stuff, has hit the massive jumps and sees the mountain in such a different way than I do. So when we asked our daughter if she wanted to start hitting boxes and jumps I knew that I had to try too. To show her that no matter what, us Rowley women will try and try again till we succeed. They even if we are scared we do it scared and most importantly that the process of learning new things can be fun and super rewarding. There is no doubt that little Cashy has surpassed my skill, but that doesn’t mean I can’t level up every chance I get too. So I may not be doing the same tricks as her but I’m going to keep pushing to achieve my goals to show her how we keep going. It’s never too late to learn. If you want it, go for it. If you fail get right back up and keep going. No one gets to tell us what we can achieve, that’s up to us. So keep going, keep improving, and never be afraid to fail! -Hype Mom Whitney #snowboarding #learnontiktok #girlpower

These spring conditions here at TAOS have opened up the confidence to try some fun ground tricks for us all! We rode around with a rad TAOS guide named Dan (in the yellow jacket) who was doing all kinds of fun tricks that inspired Cashy. This is just one short moment on our way to get pretzels where Dan challenged Cashy to give a nose or tail press a try. Then she saw him spin and in true Cashy form, she gave it a go herself. When we say snowboarding is all about fun, this is exactly that vibe! #snowboarding #learning #wholesome

Cashy competed in her first ever USASA Slopestyle event at Grand Targhee resort this past weekend! This particular event was so special for many reasons. Reason 1 - This was all little Cashy’s idea. She saw a video of one of her friends competing at a USASA event in Colorado and told Nick she wanted to try one. So after many talks and training runs on our local hill we got her registered and made the haul across the state to Grand Targhee for her first USASA Snowboarding competition. Reason 2 - Nick and I were raised riding at Grand Targhee. It was our stomping grounds as kids. It’s one of our favorite places to ride in general but I think that’s because it’s where we grew up riding. The Ghee holds so much space in our hearts so to be able to finally take Cash, watch her compete, then show her around was a special day. So not only her first comp but her first time riding the Ghee! A right of passage if you will. Reason 3 - Coming from a massive ski race family, being at the hill all the time was my norm. As we grew up and moved away from home my parents haven’t gone to the hill much so having them come up to watch Cashy, be there and feel that happiness at being on the hill again was magical. My parents were there for her first time ever (2 days before her first birthday) and haven’t seen her ride in person again till this moment, her first comp. Seeing my parents watch her and see how much love she has for this sport was something I will never forget. Lastly to our little Cashy. We are so beyond proud of you for having the courage to even sign up. For taking a chance on a new side of this sport you love and for giving it your all. You sent it and threw down! You are one brave little girl with the heart of a lion and I am so excited to see where this takes you. Follow your heart, know that we will always have your back and If Your Scared, Do It Scared! Sky is the limit Small Fry. We love you to infinity and beyond. -Whitney #snowboarding #grandtarghee #usasa

A different style of snowboarding for our 8 year old daughter Cashy. I’ve been trying to think of a good time to introduce street snowboarding to little Cashy and just like anything in life, the best time to start is yesterday. This opportunity came because our local resort had all lifts held due to 60+ mph winds but we wanted to ride so we took to the streets! See street snowboarding is a whole different level of riding. It’s a whole different vibe because unlike the terrain park, these features aren’t made for us snowboarders. Meaning they are far from perfect and many spots come with some kind of consequence. The world of snowboarding for any rider vastly opens up when they start to take their riding to the streets. Spots are everywhere in every town or city, you just have to have a vision. I found this spot on google maps after getting some intel from local riders of other spots near by. I knew this would be an excellent first spot to hit because the entry on the far side was a minimal hop on with a mellow 3ft drop on the other side to land. It was slightly curved which allowed her exit off to always be away from the concrete wall. The rad building in the background also made for a cool shot! As you hear in the video, we had a security guy come out. Run ins with authorities are one of those potential consequences that come with the street snowboarding territory. Luckily for us this dude was super chill. We weren’t allowed to show our interaction with him but he didn’t hassle us at all once he saw what we were doing. We likely just got super lucky or he didn’t really understand what we were doing. Either way. This was a super fun, fairly low consequence spot perfect for little Cashy to try her hand at street riding. The fact she had that fall and was completely fine is a testament to this little girls strength! -Nick #snowboarding #girlpower
