Building Bridges: My Inspiring Candidate Speech at the 2024 King County GOP Meeting
At the 2024 King County GOP Biennial Meeting, I had the honor of delivering my candidate speech as I ran for State Committeewoman and Congressional District 9 Female Executive Board Representative. I shared my vision and passion for being a bridge—within our party and to the community—emphasizing the importance of love, unity, and reshaping the GOP narrative through consistent engagement and compassion.
While I didn’t prevail, placing second was a meaningful acknowledgment of the impact of my message. I remain deeply committed to advocating for unity and balance in Washington and will continue working to bring people together.
Thank you @ruphinanord for your powerful nomination speech!!!

·2023-1-6You Don’t Have to Go to Church… But Why Wouldn’t You? A lot of people say, “You don’t have to go to church to be close to God.” And that’s true—you don’t. But just like in basketball, you don’t have to be on a team to be a good player. You can practice on your own, study the game, and even have talent. But at some point, if you really want to grow, sharpen your skills, and be part of something bigger, you need a team. You need a coach. You can’t just show up to a tournament by yourself and expect to win. Church isn’t just about showing up—it’s about being part of the body of Christ. Encouraging, learning, being sharpened, and walking in purpose with others. So yeah, you don’t have to go… but why wouldn’t you? #Faith #ChristianTikTok #GoToChurch #SpiritualGrowth #BibleTruth #JesusLovesYou #KingdomMindset #GodFirst #Encouragement #SundayService #ChurchFamily #IronSharpensIron #PurposeDriven #WalkInFaith

·4d ago I kicked off my speech at Tacoma SOTA’s Multicultural Showcase with a little humor—admitting I’m old enough to have kids their age, but asking the real question… do I look old? 👀😂 The crowd’s reaction says it all! It’s the melanin magic for me! ✨ #BlackDontCrack #MelaninMagic #TacomaSOTA #PublicSpeaking #MulticulturalShowcase #TashaMae #SelfAdvocacy #Empowerment #AgingLikeFineWine #blackhistorymonth

·2-27Y’all, I declared this my #Matthew14:29 Walk on Water year, and let me tell you—walking on water doesn’t mean there won’t be storms. What people miss in that story is that even though Peter was experiencing a miracle, he was still surrounded by wind and waves. Don’t let people’s social media fool you. You have no idea how many Peters are walking on water in a storm—fighting battles you can’t see, staying so laser-focused on Jesus just to keep from sinking. That is the season I’m in. If I even take my eyes off Him for a second, there’s no safety net, no boat to run back to, no training wheels. I literally have to focus on Him to stay above water. When I say I was in a storm and God came through in the clutch, I mean it. I had 48 hours left to figure this out. And this storm began nearly three months ago. But let me tell you—how I go through the storm has become more important to me than just getting through it. God has been surrounding me with blessings, opportunities, and things I haven’t even announced yet, but at the same time, I’ve been walking on water in a storm. And I passed this one, okay? I PASSED IT. I could’ve been in the fetal position, but God. #OnlyGodCanDoIt #FaithfulGod #WalkingOnWater #StormsDontStopMe #KeepTheFaith

·2-24Born a biological female. Established in 1981. Mother of 3. Naturally curvy. The fact that I even have to clarify this because of how weird society has gotten is absolutely crazy. #Truth #BiologicalWoman #StandInTruth #FearfullyAndWonderfullyMade @washington4trump @David Leon (@mericandavid) @The Reverend

·2-15Short Clip: Today, I had the privilege of speaking to the students at Garfield High School about entrepreneurship. I shared how my journey began in sixth grade, advocating for better school lunches, and how that experience eventually led me to advocating for my kids in schools and for myself as a single parent navigating complex systems. Those experiences inspired me to launch Advocacy Queen, my own organization dedicated to helping others navigate systems and access the resources they need. It was an incredible experience, and I’m so grateful for the chance to connect with the next generation of leaders! #Entrepreneurship #AdvocacyQueen #GarfieldHighSchool #Inspiration #CommunityImpact
