I definitley get tired—never tired of it though. When I committed to Penn State at 15, I was very aware of what I was signing up for: a Division 1 lifestyle. I committed to making sacrifices, which I had been doing since age 11. I committed to having to push myself out of my comfort zone. I committed to working hard every single day. I committed to valuing myself based on my performance. I committed to great games and horrible games, to days where I never wanted to pick up a stick again…but I loved the sport too much to ever allow these struggles to pull me away. But when I committed, I knew what I was signing up for. I knew that college was going to be the most draining, yet most rewarding years of my life— and I feel as though I have done a great job of only showing the rewarding side: the celebrations, the smiles, the hugs, the goals…all of that fun stuff… But what you don’t see is the mental struggle and anxiety behind all of the ‘picture perfect’ moments, which is something I have been dealing with with since I was 11 years old. I am super excited to soon share my story of what my field hockey career has been like so far; the good, the bad, and the ugly, thanks to @Hailey Stutzman 💙 stay tuned, xoxo #fyp #mentalhealth #sports #fieldhockey
