·2023-8-9fighting urges, impulses, negative habits, "the easy way out", or addictions is hard hut once you stop repeating self destructive patterns, you learn a lot about yourself. and the happiness you feel from it is >>> instead of covering your feelings about something (could be a diagnosis, friendship drama, a breakup, getting let go at a job) but being like "well, that sucks and unfortunately that didnt go as i planned / had hoped for but i am so grateful for that part of my life" is the BEST thing you could do for yourself and those who love you. being able to be concious with the fact there was something you loved so much should be celebrated!!! love is what the world (should be) is made of!! it is the prettiest part of feeling and life!! why would i want to waste my time trying to replace or forget about it when i cant!! let it live so it can pass. meanwhile while experiencing these waves write letters. to them, an ex lover or friend you miss. dance in the rain. scream sing songs in the car with your friends. paint. cry. play guitar. chase your dreams. hug your parents. i have been "inside" for a while. when a different path arrives in front of me im choosing this time not to mask it. with anything. but let it be there and feel it. spill it out into art or dance if i need too. ill stay up and work work work. because you felt strongly about something at one point. so feel strongly about yourself and life as a whole. any impulse to fill a void or "complete" emptiness is overflown with creative ideas, projects and motivation. i was never like this but being constantly on dnd and taking a break to focus on what YOUR soul needs, allowing yourself to soak in the emotions and create something larger for yourself is helping you help yourself feel and get closer to your "purpose". it starts with you and noone else. ya you might feel lonely. but call up an old school friend. paint something beautiful. hang it on your wall. this way you can look at it and be like "wow, i did that. i couldve done x or x but instead i made that painting." and one day youll look back and that space in your heart will be on the wall because lets face it. some spaces arent going to leave. some spaces stay with others, yet, honor them. keep them there and smile. the book may have ended but you dont have to pick up another. this analogy could apply to any substance. you got this ♡ now go make the younger you proud. #motivation #addiction #recovery #relationship #divorce #fypシ
