I highly recommend that people look up specific disease rates in your local areas, knowledge is power! You can contract hantavirus by breathing in dust contaminated with infected rodent excrement. Typically, it’s been known to happen with significantly large colonies, hoarding situations, etc.

I think it’s important for children to be calm and comfortable enough to pull “Ricks” off of themselves! There is no risk because they cannot attach quickly, it’s a whole process that can take them hours.

This is why outdoor cats are frowned upon! (I adore this neighborhood kitty but I’m also gonna sabatoge his hunt every time)
