Long grass and wild areas (including weeds and some very messy areas and piles of old logs, stones and moss), natural pest controls (ducks, companion planting and polyculture), plants for pollinators (a mix of native and non native species to extend the flowering season), a wildlife pond, and of course the wildlife. Some species we typically see as pests, but largely the creatures work in tandem to keep things in balance.
