I have a lot of exciting things to share after being on the road for 10 days. I definitely needed a liver cleansing juice so the recipe for that is right here: two apples, one red one green, 4 to 5 stalks of celery, one lemon, two generous pieces of ginger, five or six dandelion greens, a half a cucumber. I’m going to be doing a class out of The Green Room in Franklin, Tennessee. That’s on February 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 central time and it will be live streamed on Instagram. It’s all about liver health and botanicals as they are going to have @Blessed Botanicals in stock. So I will be doing questions and answers about botanicals and also showing a few at home recipes that you can make to help your health during the winter. I am also starting herbal medicine school at the chestnut school for herbal medicine @Juliet Blankespoor that is going to be a 2 1/2 year experience of herbal immersion and I will be sharing snippets of my learning here with the community that we have built because I think it’s really important that people learn about natural health and herbal medicine. ❤️🙏🏼 ##holistichealth##naturalremedies##herbalmedicine

·3h ago This is why I’m so passionate about turkey tail. This is why I take it every single day. Yes it’s great for my gut health. Yes it’s great for my immune system— but more importantly it has antioxidant properties that can help fight against certain types of big C and help people who are going through certain therapies for the big C to help them heal and prevent recurrence. This is huge and many people do not know this and it’s right there on the national big C Institute webpage. I really want people to see this for themselves because you are your own best advocate. If the NIH and the NCI recognizes this then what are we waiting for? When is the US gonna start to incorporate this into therapies what is it going to take after extensive clinical trials and observational studies. If anyone is curious about what kind I use it is by @Blessed Botanicals and you can find it by clicking underneath my username second link in my Linktree. I also have a code for 15% off melly15❤️ you will be surprised how common it is, and you can probably find it in your own backyard. How amazing is that?! This is not medical advice and I am not a medical professional. Please ask your doctor before using any herbal supplement, especially if you are pregnant, breast-feeding, or on medication. #holistichealth #naturalremedies

·23h ago It’s so easy to make your own lip balm. Here’s the recipe 1 tablespoon of unrefined, coconut oil, 1 tablespoon of unrefined, Shea, butter, 1 tablespoon of beeswax, 1 tablespoon of castor oil or a carrier oil of your choice and I used one tablespoon of beetroot powder. You can also use rose powder to tint it or you can completely leave out the tint— and I don’t know why I forgot to add that I put three drops of peppermint essential oil. The lip balm containers are 1 ounce. the castor oil is by @GuruNanda LLC @Puneet Nanda bridge the gap @Elizabeth #holistichealth

·3d ago So many people ask how I take my Blackseed oil so I wanted to make a video to show y’all how I personally do it. There are so many different ways to take Blackseed oil. The Blackseed oil that I take is by @Blessed Botanicals and you can find it by clicking under my username second link in my linktree— the honey is by @samumanuka and you can also find it in my Linktree as well. You could take it under the tongue with some water you could take it with a juice or smoothie or tea, you could also take it the way that it is, although it is a bit harsh that way for people who may have issues with their esophagus already— it’s best to put it with something that can coat the throat and the stomach. I personally love to take it with manuka honey and warm water. And I split my dosage up half during the day and half at night. So 1/2 teaspoon during the day 1/2 teaspoon at night. Blackseed oil can help with so many things, including improving, gut health and digestive issues, especially helping to reduce bloat, nausea and acid reflux . It can help with sinusitis and allergies as well as respiratory issues like COPD and asthma. It also can help with weight loss and is anti-parasitic anti-inflammatory antiviral and antifungal . It can help lower blood sugar, blood pressure, and help total cholesterol and triglycerides. It’s also very good for hormonal issues PCOS and endometriosis for your skin and hair. The best part of all is it protects your liver and helps your liver function better. For anyone with fatty liver, please look into Blackseed oil. Remember, this is not medical advice and I’m not a medical professional. Please ask your doctor before using any herbal supplement, especially if you are pregnant, breast-feeding, or on medication.

·1w ago With all of the devastation and fires in California and all of the heartache and worries, I was thinking of ways that I can help —I hope this video can be helpful in some way for the many people that have been exposed to wildfire smoke. smoke inhalation can disrupt liver function and reach your liver through your bloodstream triggering inflammation and oxidative stress. Smoke can and also alter genes and molecular pathways that regulate how the liver processes fats and can lead to fibrosis. Here are some simple foods that can be helpful: Apples: apples can call me your system, and reduce viral and bacterial loads. They have compounds that increase digestive strength and have traces of flavonoids: rutin and quercitin which can help detox from heavy metals and radiation. They can help with your lymphatic system and improve circulation and cleanse and purify your organs. Apples can hydrate on a deep level. They have manganese and molybdenum and electrolytes and critical mineral salts. They can also reduce lung damage caused by smoking and are proven to reduce lung decline. Celery- can flush toxins and debris and reduce inflammation in the body. Very hydrating and associated with nerve and tissue, regeneration and other benefits to help the respiratory system. They have bioactive sodium and more than 60 trace minerals and can help your gut health. Lemons: ultra hydrating, electrolyte, producing and top source of mineral salts with highly absorbable vitamin C. Can help with alkalinity and expel mucus and cleanse the liver, kidneys, spleen, gallbladder, thyroid, and purge, toxic substances from pollution and radiation. Other things that can be helpful for your lung health are Mullein leaf and marshmallow root as well as my favorite Blackseed oil. Thank you to @Me@Medical Mediumr great information on healing foods🙏🏼❤️ #lu#lungsi#livero#holistichealing

·1-10If you’re wanting to make your own whipped body butter, here is a lovely recipe for you. 1/4 cup of raw unrefined shea butter-1/4 cup raw cocoa butter-1/4 cup organic virgin coconut oil-melt down in a glass bowl-add 1/4 cup of castor oil 10 drops of lavender essential oil 10 drops of frankincense oil- I also added 2 tablespoons of rosewater— you can skip the step if you don’t have it, but it’s extra lovely with the rosewater-put it in the refrigerator to solidify and then take it out and whip it with an electric mixer. Add it to jars this made two 2 ounce glass jars so 4 ounces in total. If you want it to be less slick, you can always add 1 tablespoon of arrowroot powder. And that is it, my friends. Super easy and so fun and very effective. ·1-8This is my go to every time I have any group pain and it is the recipe that has gotten the most positive feedback. I use 4 ounces of castor oil 2 teaspoons of cayenne pepper and mix it together. You can use it right away and yes, it’s going to be greedy. You just wash it off after you’re done. Make sure to wash your hands. Well after you apply it. This is for topical use only. #holistichealing #pain

·1-6Let’s talk about it: turkey tail mushroom. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, but it’s so debatable on what I’m allowed to talk about and when I’m not allowed to talk about, however all you have to do is type in PSK into your search bar in your computer or polysaccharide krestin and you will find some very interesting information. The specific turkey tail that I use is by @Blessed Botanicals and I have it in my Linktree underneath my username second link. It is a blend of turkey tail, Reishi mushroom, and lions mane. Remember, this is not medical advice and I am not a medical professional. Please consult your doctor before using any herbal supplement, especially if you are pregnant, breast-feeding, or on medication. Every individual is different so what works for me may or may not work for you.

·1-4Aritha powder for the win. This is just soap nut powder. It is a berry from the soap nut tree and is not considered an actual nut. It’s just one ingredient. This berry comes from the Sapindus which is a small tree in the lychee family. I was really skeptical about this one, but this works better than Castile soap for sure because it doesn’t leave a waxy after-feel and it keeps my hair feeling clean for a few days after washing which normally I wash it every day. I got this on Amazon. I did put it in my storefront underneath my username. ##soapnuts##holistichealing##naturalhair##shampoo

·1-3I often get requests to share what I use for my every day, herbal supplements. First off it’s important to know that what works for me may or may not work for you. It’s best to ask your doctor first and do your research before using any herbal supplement and make sure it fits your individual needs. My every day supplements are moringa, turkey tail blend, Irish seamoss, liver, cleanse, and Blackseed oil. I take these twice a day, 2 mL under my tongue for this particular brand — for the Blackseed oil. It is 1 teaspoon per day, so I split it up half a teaspoon during the day and half at night —I use @Blessed Botanicals and you can find them by clicking underneath my username. It is the second link in my Linktree. I also have a discount code Melly15. Make sure you are cautious to read the dosages because a lot of times they are brand specific so the dosage for Blessed Botanicals may not be the same dosage for another company. This is not medical advice, and I am not a medical professional. Please ask your doctor before using any herbal supplements, especially if you are pregnant, breast-feeding, or on medication. #holistichealth #holistic-healing

·1-2This video was made four days ago. I washed my hair again with soap nut powder the next day, and my hair was so clean I have not washed my hair for two days— I can’t remember the last time I skipped washing my hair and having it feel this clean. I put the link to this soap nut powder in my Amazon so if you click underneath my username, it’s the first link. It was only 12.99pound of it. I did the math and 32 tablespoons equals 1 pound and if I only used about a half a tablespoon on my scalp, then that would equal about 64 shampoos—wow. The last shampoo that I made as a natural shampoo does not even come close to how clean this makes my hair feel it does not leave a waxy after feel and I don’t even know how to describe it. It’s so almost perfect. Whoever told me to use soap nut powder— thank you. Speak up if it was you so I can profusely thank you although I’m still waiting for something to go wrong because it feels too good to be true. I will keep everyone posted. I have been recording footage each day so I will post those videos and continue to keep you updated. Imagine just one ingredient mixed with water. Tell me this isn’t a dream. I will say that you will probably want to use some kind of conditioner with it although I did not use a conditioner if you like to condition your hair, then a natural conditioner would be a good idea. I would love to toy with some natural conditioner ideas so throw them out there if you have any. #naturalhair #haircare #shampoo

·1-1My love for lemon balm is growing deeper by the day. I had no idea how effective this herb is for so many different things not just sleeping anxiety, but also for your overall liver health, which is one of the most important things of all. It’s a very gentle herb so most ages can use lemon balm. I have been taking it for almost a month and I’m in love it— I take it right before I go to bed and it helps me wind down and relax as well as helps me sleep. If you are interested in the one, I am using —I use @Blessed Botanicals and you can find it underneath my username second link in my Linktree. I also do have a discount code melly15. ❤️ this new year is the year. I’m going to really zone in on liver health. Of course you always want to consult your healthcare provider before using any herbal supplement, especially if you are pregnant, breast-feeding, or on medication. It’s important to remember that what works for one person may or may not work for somebody else so the individual matters and not only is an important to ask your doctor, but it’s also important to do the research and be your own best health advocate. ·2024-12-31This is such an easy way to make your own under eye patches to reduce dark circles, puffiness, fine lines, age spots. I love adding just a little bit of castor oil on the back to help even more with increasing collagen in production in the skin. Potatoes are high in vitamin C. They have a compound called catecholase that can help with smoothing out skin tone and brightening up the skin. You can just store it away in the refrigerator and take it out whenever you want to use it again. It’s super simple and cost effective and all natural. #s#skincareh#holisticlivingn#naturalskincare

·2024-12-29my hope for the new year is that people start realizing how much your liver does for you on a daily basis— the fact that we don’t think about how overburdened and exhausted it gets over the course of time is problematic as our liver could use our help daily cleansing and detoxing in small ways to help it function better so that we can function better overall. Our liver does so many things that it’s hard to even think about putting it into a minute and 30 second video reel. It has over 500 different functions: it stores nutrients, vitamin vitamins, glucose glycogen, and also helps us to break down fats and protect the pancreas. It is truly adaptive genic and is a unique organ. Because of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, pathogens, heavy metals, molds, and plastics, and the westernized diet — our liver can only do so much to protect us before becoming exhausted. Because it’s our bodies filtration system, it labels toxins in our body so that our body knows what is safe and what is unsafe and if our liver is unable to do that over the course of time because of the damage we do to it then it no longer properly labels toxins, and they get through into our bloodstream and cause all kinds of health issues like skin conditions, joint pain, brain fog, fatigue, high blood pressure, high blood, blood sugar, thyroid issues, hormonal issues, etc. remember that your liver regulate your hormones so if you’ve been told you have a hormonal issue, it really should be adjusted in my opinion to : you have a liver issue . Getting to the root cause of what is causing your symptoms is the most important thing rather than just treating the symptom. If you are looking for the cleanse that I have it is by a company called @@Blessed Botanicalsand it has five different herbs that I love to help purify the blood and cleanse the body. You can find it by clicking under my username. It’s the second link in my Linktree and you can also use my code melly15 to say 15% off: dandelion, milk, thistle, red, clover, yellow, dock, and ginger. These five herbs are incredible for eating in improving bile, production and production of HCL as well as helping to purge the liver so that your liver can focus on filtration. What you eat is so important on a daily basis and there are so many different foods you can incorporate into your everyday diet to help to detox and cleanse in small ways daily. I will be going over many of these natural foods in the new year as this is my top focus because it can help so many different health issues and many people are out here suffering with all this chronic illness and have no idea how to fix it. For anyone who is an interested in this cleanse or wants to know different ways to help the liver with natural foods stay tuned because I will be going over many different ways you can incorporate food to help your liver health. Remember, this is not medical advice and I am not a medical professional. Please consult your doctor before using any herbal supplement, especially if you are pregnant, breast-feeding, or on medication. What works for one person may not work for another, so there is no perfect regimen that suits everybody and it’s extra important to do your research and become your own best advocate. Here’s to a liver- healthy new year. (I also want to think Anthony William and his book liver rescue for contributing to this information. ##naturalhealing##holistichealth##liverhealth
