🌟 What are you most excited about going into your final year of high school?
TaMeecia can’t wait to reach graduation, humorously adding, “so I can hit my mother upside the head with the diploma when I get it!”
🌟 Who has been your biggest inspiration during high school?
“My principal, Dr. Wendy Pooler, has been my biggest inspiration,” she says, reflecting on the guidance and support she’s received.
🌟 Any advice for underclassmen?
“Take your 9th-grade year seriously because it starts there, and it’s hard to get on track after that,” advises TaMeecia, emphasizing the importance of a strong start.
🌟 What are your plans after high school?
TaMeecia’s future is as bright as her spirit! She plans to attend Winston Salem State University to pursue her dream of becoming a Cardiothoracic Surgeon.

Embracing My Power After Trauma For years, trauma shaped my life. Molestation, abuse—these shadows followed me, dictating how I coped and survived. Alcohol once served as a temporary escape, a way to dull the pain instead of facing it. But today, I stand in a new light, guided by prayer and a renewed strength. Prayer has been my anchor, preventing me from drifting back into old habits and continuously propelling me forward.
