Let's start from the beginning! How do you create a functional notebook setup? In the first part of this series, I show you a walkthrough of my 2024-25 OneNote planner and then I show you how to set up sections and create your first page. How to start creating your own notebook: 1) Reflect on what you actually need in your notebook. Don't take meeting notes on your laptop? No problem! To-do vs OneNote? Which one is better for you? It really depends on the type of work you do and whether you live in your Outlook inbox or if you love OneNote on a day to day basis. A dashboard in OneNote is NOT like a dashboard in Excel or other productivity tools. It really is an index that can be used for organizing files, ideas, or tasks. It's a good exercise to do before you build out your notebook as well! To create a dashboard, you need headers (either by shading the table background or importing your own) and then add your sections.
