Ill never forget the first time we painted our first salon location. I hate to say it, ill identify with the fact im borderline millenial and admit that we painted our walls gray and heres how the painting lesson went. My nana drove up to help me for the weekend. Painting was one of her favorite things. We set our mind to finishing painting everything before we left for the evening. We painted the whole salon area the gray color we chose. So happy wi the our choice. Ill never forget how relieved we were to get it done. We came back in the next morning and my heart sunk. You see im not the kind of girl thats not going to speak up for what i want and believe in. So i said it, in disbelief -its baby boy, nursery blue. It blue with a slight gray tint is what i felt like it looked like and i couldnt have that. Thomas looked at me like what are you going to do about it. At the time we could barely afford the paint we bought much less the paint to cover the walls. We bought our second paint color and went on our way to the salon, back from lowes. Only to get there and find that all of the paint had spilled into my nanas trunk. Thankfully Lowes covered the paint, the expense of fixing her car & replacing everything that was damaged. Somehow through that whole experience i learned about underlying tones, always check your paint samples at location, never settle or give up and that God will always provide a way even when you cant afford it. My nanas not here this round to help me make some of my designing desicions, i hope im making her proud. I don’t know if I am overly excited or overwhelmed with the thought of unboxing all of this. I cant tell you how many times we changed our plans of which furniture we were purchasing. I think I picked out fixtures 3 to 5 times for each piece. I wish i was exaggerating. To see these in person is such a relief knowing we have our final decisions in hand and can see our vision come to life.
