·7h ago ✨today’s mental breakfast menu: What we feed our minds first thing in the morning sets the tone for the entire day. I fill my mornings with: ✨exercise (not shown in the video, but SO important for mental clarity and energy) ✨gratitude journaling: I simply write down at least 3 things I’m looking forward to in my day ✨visualizing my dream life: the brain doesn’t know the difference between imagination and reality, so when we imagine the life that we want, it’s priming our brains to trust that it’s possible for us, that we’re capable of doing it, and that motivates us to take action to actually get there (this is the neuroscience of “manifestation”. There are tons of guided sessions for this on my hypnosis app Doddle✨) ✨future self journaling: after bringing my goals to life in my mind, I write a gratitude list for the future (in the present tense as though it’s already happened). Ex: “I’m so grateful my book is a #1 NYT bestseller. I’m so grateful I am the healthiest I’ve ever been. I’m so grateful I have a community of friends who I love. I’m so grateful that I make $___ every month.” This brings our goals/manifestations closer to us by showing our brains what it feels like to actually attain them. ✨reading inspiring books (I personally love self help & memoirs for this time of day) ✨creative work (writing my own book, planning & brainstorming, working from the perspective of possibility) Take some time to think about what you’re feeding your own brain each morning.
