Let’s talk about my #DIY wallpapered peninsula project! 🧡☺️🪵 After painting our cabinets off-white last year, I felt like the room could stand to have some warmth added back in. So I decided to put up peel-and-stick “Faux Wooden Slats” #wallpaper from @Fancy Walls just on the surround of our peninsula. I love how realistic this wallpaper looks, and that it only took 30 minutes to install—it would have taken HOURS if I had gone the real wood route!!! The pattern adds so much richness to the room, and a little bit of that #Japandi style I’m drawn to as well 🙌🏼⭐️ Shop the Fancy Walls wood-look wallpaper I used in my IG Stories today, and let me know in the comments if YOU would go faux… (gifted/ad)

⭐️ Learn how to style the @denvermodern Vail Stool two different ways ⭐️ John and I recently added these gorgeous counter stools to our peninsula eating area, and they’ve really upped the ante in our quaint 1960s kitchen design! The white boucle fabric we chose is easy to maintain (even with two rambunctious kittens), and we love the mix of materials on the frame—white oak dowel supports, leather straps, and black steel base. To give you a REALLY well-rounded perspective on this versatile stool, we also styled them in my parents’ more traditional kitchen! How cool that this contemporary style seating works well in both homes…Shop our #denvermodern Vail Stools in my Stories today and via my bio link 🧡 #mydenvermodern (gifted/ad)

·1d ago Okay, listen. I’ve been a fan of Drew Scott (AKA @Lone Fox) for YEARS! And, of course, the same goes for @Joon Loloi…So when the two teamed up together this month on a new home collection, I jumped at the chance for a sneak peek 🧡👌🏼 This Holmby Rug in Ivory / Bark is the perfect sophisticated neutral complement to our antique finds and mid-century modern aesthetic, and I love how the Benedict and Stewart pillows add pops of brightness to our vintage leather couch in the snug off our kitchen. You’re also getting to peep our yet-to-be unveiled wallpaper in this video!!! Hope you love how it’s coming together…More to come soon, but in the meantime, shop our new rug and pillows in my Stories today. Congrats, Drew and Loloi! (gifted/ad) #LoneFoxJL

·2-24I’m finally sharing what has become my very favorite before/after project of our entire time in this house: our laundry closet makeover! I’m generally the only person who sees much of this tiny closed-off space in our house (well, me and Chessie since her crate is stashed in this closet), but I felt like it was still worth a little refresh. We painted the boring beige walls “Halcyon Green,” and added “Pink Art Deco Clay” @Fancy Walls wallpaper along the backs of the shelves. Then, I finished things off with coordinated crates and baskets to finallyyyyyyy bring some order to the organization in this under-utilized closet. Now, this colorful, pattern-packed closet is my new favorite spot in the house, and I do laundry practically every other day just to peek in on the fun new design 🙌🏼💕 Shop the Fancy Walls wallpaper I used in my Stories today, and let me know in the comments if your own laundry room could use a colorful update 😉🧺 (gifted/ad)

·2-18Remember when I used to share actual DIYs on dreamgreendiy.com?! 😆🧡 Feels like it has been a while, but I’m vowing to bring those back in 2025, starting with this cutie wallpapered side table using coordinated peel-and-stick patterns from @Fancy Walls to use wallpaper samples to decorate the drawer fronts, and then some leftover wallpaper scraps from my office makeover, so this project was veryyyyy easy on the wallet. I love how the poppy blue/green colors and patterns make this plain white side table stand out…Can you believe the before/after transformation?! 🙌🏼⭐️ Make sure you watch carefully to see how I used charcoal to create a template for cutting out the intricate shape of the drawer fronts. What kind of DIY would you like to see me tackle next? (gifted/ad)

·2-7Have you made your 2025 vision board yet? I do this every year between Christmas and New Years when I’m usually feeling my most motivated and inspired, but this time I mixed things up a bit…I started a vision board BOOK! In the past, I’ve always just used a scrap piece of cardboard to build my vision board on, but I wanted something a little more intentional and “official” moving forward. So I picked up a simple green leather scrapbook, and plan to do one spread each new year. Now, whenever I need a dose of inspiration, I can take my vision board book off the shelf and flip through the pages. I’m only one year in, so it’s mostly blank pages, but I’m excited to fill it up over the next decade. What about you? Do you vision board? Consider going the book route!

·1-6Let’s add some festive wintery flair to a plain evergreen wreath!🌲🌲🌲 I picked up a couple of $5 stem bunches from @Trader Joe's, cut them into smaller pieces, and then attached them (somewhat!) evenly across the wreath form using floral wire. I finished the look with a flowy satin ribbon bow, also attached with floral wire ☺️ This took me maybeeeee 15 minutes to make, and I think the simple embellishments add so much to the simple wreath form (which I sourced locally from Francisco Tree Farm btw!) ❄️🎄 Happy holidays, my friends!!

·2024-12-22Tour my latest room makeover!!! 🙌🏼☺️🧡 I had dreams of turning my tiny home office into an English cottage-inspired oasis with a custom trim border, new rich paint color, and a @Fancy Walls wallpaper pattern along the ceiling. It turned out sooooo much better than I had even imagined, and makes work feel that much more inspiring. My favorite part, of course, is the “Minimalist Plants” wallpaper I chose. The simple sweet floral motif makes me smile every day, and goes a long way in adding personality to the space. Shop the Fancy Walls wallpaper I used in my Stories today, and let me know in the comments what kind of pattern you would use in your own home office space ⭐️ (gifted/ad)

·2024-12-20I’ve ALWAYS wondered how hard it really was to order custom curtains, and now I know…It’s not nearly as daunting a task as I assumed—especially when ordering from @UniCurt_curtains! ☺️👌🏼⭐️ The length on our new guest room curtain panels is perfectly sized to our wonky 1960s ceiling height, and I got to choose from custom-picked fabric samples so I knew exactly what to expect (btw, I chose the Sara curtains in Greyish Beige). We moved in two years ago, and I’m kicking myself for wasting money on off-the-shelf curtains to tide us over until we could “afford” real custom curtains. These were already within budget, and would have actually saved us money if we had just gone this route from the start…Full story and lots more photos on the blog now 🧡💻 (gifted/ad)

·2024-12-19Watch me switch over our sunroom from “everyday” to “Christmas Day”🎄🎅🏼🎁🕯️ I did a whole write up on my blog including pet-friendly holiday décor tips, but my biggest suggestion is to simply not worry so much without experimenting first! Our new kitten and our 1.5-year-old cat have both been so good this year with our Christmas decorations. The kitten hasn’t been interested in the tree at all (her poor eye sight could be a contributing factor—she just doesn’t see it!), and Marlo mostly just wants to live inside the tree collar and gaze up at the lights/ornaments. I wasted so much time worrying about them breaking things and toppling the tree, but that hasn’t been the case at ALL! The fact that we used unbreakable tabletop décor and put on new washable “Winter” couch covers from @Nolan Interior Official also helps reduce my anxiety, of course…Leave your pet-friendly Christmas decorating ideas in the comments if you’ve got ‘em!❤️🐾🌲

·2024-12-16Just because it’s chilly out doesn’t mean that you have to forgo festive foliage at your front door! Try this DIY winter barrel gardening idea 🌲🧤❄️ Start by purchasing a large barrel planter (the one you see here measures 13 inches tall and 20 inches wide), and fill it with an all-purpose potting mix. Next, gather your plants. I chose a mix of winter-hardy varieties that can stand up to cold temperatures, including a Green Giant Arborvitae, pansies, and flowering kale. Situate your barrel planter where you want it next to your front door (it may be too heavy to move once all the plants have been added to the dirt!), and plant your tallest foliage at the back center of your pot—in this case, it was the arborvitae. Next, plant the medium-sized kale on either side of your evergreen tree, and finish with the pansies in front. And with that you have a beautiful welcoming winter barrel garden to greet visitors this holiday season! NOTE: While these plants can tolerate cold weather, keep in mind that they may be susceptible to frost, so make sure you protect them with winter plant cover fabric on extra chilly nights 🙌🏼🌨️🪴
