What is office chair butt? To put it simply, it’s losing your glutes to the seductive power of sitting. Don’t let this fate come for you and find ways to be more active during the day! It is also obviously extremely important to have a regular exercise routine that ideally involves some level of resistance training. The more muscle you have, that harder it is to lose! 💪🏻 #physicaltherapy #workfromhome #corporatelife

·2024-7-10I would follow Brittney Mims, the owner of the gorgeous and successful Mims Method PT, into war. She has taken all of the risks and made all of the decisions that has lead this clinic to exponential growth over the past 14 months. And now that our team has grown, it has never been easier to be seen as a patient. Follow the link in my bio or email hello@mimsmethodpt.com directly for more information #physicaltherapy #nyclife

·2024-2-25Ariana is a STUD athlete who is attempting to do something very few people have ever done. Her training is going amazingly and her trainer has her firing on all cylinders. As it stands right now she is in amazing shape but when you’re attempting something so challenging, it’s always best to do some fine tuning along the way. Not only is she a stud but she is a joy to work with and such an amazing person to be around. You won’t regret following her journey and rooting her on. @Ariana Luterman #triathlete

·6d ago The levator scap is a stubborn and annoying muscle that can hide itself as the true problem child by sending pain elsewhere in the shoulder blade. If you’ve have an annoying shoulder blade pain that hasn’t gone away this might be a great thing to try. #physicaltherapy

·2-4Some important notes here: No single “hands on” treatment has been proven to be all that effective all by itself. It takes a total approach where manual therapy is just one of many factors. But since manipulations are not more effective than any other “hands on” treatment I don’t see why it is ever used. The setting of physical therapy and chiropractic care is supposed to be a very conservative means to reducing symptoms. Integrating a treatment that comes with such a high risk is completely against the goal of care. There is no reason these need to be done and it makes me sick every time a death or adverse event is reported. #physicaltherapy #chiropractor

·1-31If you’ve been dealing with a disc injury in your lower back that hasn’t been improving, the first step is to avoid any rounding of the lower back as much as you can help it. These are my two favorite ways to make sure you’re doing exactly that. As symptoms begin to improve it is very important to begin straightening again. Building strength in the muscles of the trunk and core is the best way to protect the lower back moving forward 💪🏻 #physicaltherapy
