Thankful for 2024 🙏🏽 Reminder if you work in healthcare you can and should have a life outside of work 🙌🏽. When I first started practicing I was under the impression to be the best Doctor I would have to dedicate my whole life to work; but l quickly realized this leads to burnout and having a life outside of work makes me a better Doctor when I'm at work, since im less stressed and more present for my patients 🫡. Who else agrees?

Can adults benefit from human breast milk? 🤔 HMOs in breast milk show promise for improving gut health and fighting harmful bacteria, but the potential for adult benefits is not fully understood. Plus, buying breast milk online comes with serious risks—like contamination with harmful pathogens or drugs. Should we do more research to explore?

Of course more research is needed to draw conclusions; lets hope more action is going to be taken to limit microplastics in our water bottles 🫡.

The FDA has officially banned Red Dye No. 3 due to studies showing it causes cancer in male rats. While no harm to humans has been confirmed, the decision follows the Delaney Clause, which prohibits cancer-linked additives. This synthetic dye, often found in candies, cakes, frostings, and some drugs, must be phased out by 2027 for food and 2028 for medications. You might still see it on shelves until existing stock is sold. 💡 Check ingredient labels for “Red 3” and opt for products with safer, natural alternatives! 🌱 👉 Follow for more health updates and tips to improve your health IQ! 🧠✨

Appreciate all 2.4 million of you who followed me along the way, I don’t know the future of TikTok but I’m glad to have transitioned to Instagram where I can continue to hopefully improve your health IQ 🫡. Thank you for the continued support, looking forward to many more videos in 2025 🙌🏽.
