Beautiful Ume is patiently waiting for spring🤍 The Japanese have a saying: "The fragrance of the winter plum announces the arrival of spring." A poetic reminder that even in the coldest moments, beauty and renewal are near. In 1983, I received 3 wild Ume seeds from Japan. Only 2 sprouted and one now resides at the Montreal Botanical Garden. It took 13 years before it finally bloomed.
