I learned this nearly 10 years ago from the biggest (and nicest) guy in the gym. He saw me struggling and walked over, and just slide the 5# plate under my weights and loaded the bar for me, without saying a word. A true hero.

easy tip for RDLs. Gets you into position faster with less wasted energy and makes loading/ unloading the bar a lot easier
