30-year-old Hannah Kobayashi is still missing after arriving in Los Angeles on November 9. Hannah and her ex-boyfriend were flying from from Hawaii to New York with a layover in LA. Her ex made their connecting flight, but Hannah did not. She was in contact with her family, but things took at turn. Her aunt says her texts became worrisome and her sister says she sent Venmo payments to people the family didn't recognize.
Her family traveled to LA to look for her. Her father Ryan Kobayashi, who was part of the search party, was found dead near LAX on Sunday. Police say he died of an apparent suicide.
The Los Angeles Police Department's Missing Persons Unit said they are investigating the case but could not provide any more information.
Here is the timeline of the missing person's case and what we know about Hannah. You can read more at the link in this video.

·1d ago Rep. Al Green (D-TX) told reporters that he was "willing to suffer whatever punishment is available to me" after he was escorted from President Trump's joint address to Congress for shouting in protest. "I'm not fighting the punishment," Green said. "This is about the people who are being punished by virtue of losing their health care. This is the richest country in the world, and we have people who don't have good health care. We've got to do better and now we're about to cut Medicaid, which is for poor." #news #politics #algreen #texas #trump #congress

·1d ago Rep. Al Green (D-TX) said Wednesday that his heckling of President Trump's joint address to Congress was a spontaneous reaction. He told CBS News' Nikole Killion that he had planned to simply walk out, but was “overcome" when he felt Trump was suggesting he had a mandate to cut Medicaid, something Trump did not mention in the speech. Green was escorted out of the House chamber by the sergeant at arms Tuesday night, and House Republicans are now moving to censure him. #trump #texas #medicaid #news #dc

·14h ago Massachusetts Democratic Rep. Ayanna Pressley had a heated exchange with Republican Rep. James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, during a hearing with “sanctuary city” mayors, including Boston’s Michelle Wu, on Wednesday. Pressley initially interjected to say she had unanimous consent to enter an article into the record. Comer attempted to stop Pressley from speaking and tried to call on the next lawmaker. The clash continued for nearly two minutes as the pair spoke over each other. #boston #newyork

·16h ago Eric Rodriguez, a disabled Iraq War veteran and worker at the Department of Veterans Affairs, said in an emotional address at a House Democrats event that veterans are "under attack" by the cuts to the VA under President Trump and Elon Musk's DOGE. "They're slashing staff, crushing unions and selling out the VA, for what?" he said. "So billionaires can make more money while veterans sit on wait lists, or worse, they'll get no treatment." The VA, which provides health care for veterans, announced Wednesday that it's planning to cut more than 70,000 jobs later this year, with a goal of returning its workforce to 2019-levels of just under 400,000 employees. #va #military #trump #elonmusk

·18h ago Democratic mayors of four "sanctuary cities" testified before a House committee on Wednesday, where Republicans accused them of putting their cities in danger and undermining President Trump’s mass deportation efforts. The mayors — Michelle Wu of Boston, Brandon Johnson of Chicago, Mike Johnston of Denver and Eric Adams of New York — pushed back and defended their jurisdictions' immigration policies. Sanctuary policies generally refer to laws that dictate that a jurisdiction may not comply to some extent with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, whose agents work with local law enforcement to carry out federal immigration law in non-sanctuary cities. Dozens of localities across the country limit how local law enforcement complies with ICE. #nyc #chicago #denver #boston #immigration

Bernie Sanders (I-VT) posted a video response to President Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress on social media today, in which he said that the President’s more than 90-minute speech “almost completely ignored the issues that are keeping working people up at night as they worry about how their families are going to survive in these very tough times.” “President Trump has been very effective in creating what I would call a parallel universe for his supporters,” Sen. Sanders said in the video. “It is a masterful effort — and you saw that tonight — to deflect attention away from the most important issues facing the people of our country.” #berniesanders #donaldtrump #trump #politics #politicstiktok
