Do you experience⤵️ 💥Migraines? 💥Headaches? 💥Eye issues? 💥Dizziness? 💥Brain fog? 💥Trouble sleeping? . 👉🏼 C1 and C2 vertebrae ⤵️ . Also known as the atlas and axis, serve as a crucial junction between the skull and the spine. . 👉🏼 Atlas (C1): . The atlas is the first cervical vertebra, and it supports the weight of the skull. The primary motion of the atlas is flexion and extension. It allows us to nod our heads up and down. . 👉🏼 Axis (C2): . The axis is the second cervical vertebra, and it forms a unique pivot joint with the atlas. This joint is called the atlantoaxial joint and allows rotational movement of the head. The odontoid process, also known as the dens, projects upward from the axis and fits into the atlas, forming this pivotal joint. This arrangement allows us to rotate our heads from side to side. If you’re having trouble rotating your head, this joint could be restricted. . Restriction or misalignment if these vertebrae can lead to different physiological issues. . 👉🏼 Nervous System Function: The vertebral column protects the spinal cord, a critical component of the nervous system. Proper alignment of C1 and C2 ensures that there is no undue pressure on the spinal cord, preserving the integrity of nerve signals. . 👉🏼 Blood Flow and Circulation: The vertebral arteries, major blood vessels supplying the brain, pass through openings in the atlas and axis. Proper motion and alignment of these vertebrae are essential for maintaining optimal blood flow to the brain, supporting cognitive function and overall well-being. . 👉🏼 Range of Motion: The unique design of the atlantoaxial joint allows for a wide range of head movements. This flexibility is vital for activities such as turning the head while driving, looking over one’s shoulder, or simply scanning the environment. . 👉🏼 Balance and Stability: C1 and C2 contribute to the overall balance and stability of the head and neck. Any dysfunction in these vertebrae can lead to issues such as headaches, dizziness, and compromised stability. . ✅ Manual Osteopathic practitioners ensure the proper alignment and function of the C1 and C2 vertebrae through assessment and treatment. . #headacherelief #migrainerelief #neckpainrelief #tensionheadache #osteopathy #btosteopathy #osteopath #spinehealth

💥The Brachial Plexus💥 . The brachial plexus is a network of nerves that extends from the neck down to the arm. . It is responsible for controlling the muscles of the arm and hand. It also transmits sensory information for the upper limb. . The brachial plexus is made up of the anterior rami of the spinal nerves C5, C6, C7, C8, and T1. . Impingement or compression of the brachial plexus can occur in various locations, leading to symptoms such as pain, weakness, or numbness in the arm. . Common areas where the brachial plexus can become impinged or compressed include: . 👉🏼Thoracic Outlet: This can occur between the collarbone and the first rib. . 👉🏼Cervical Region: Compression at the base of the neck, often due to issues with the cervical vertebrae. . 👉🏼Axilla (Armpit): Compression can occur in the armpit region, known as the quadrilateral space. . 👉🏼Arm, Forearm or Hand: Nerve compression can happen along the path of the brachial plexus in the upper arm, forearm, or hand through abnormal joint position or muscle tension. . Injuries or conditions like thoracic outlet syndrome, cervical radiculopathy, or brachial plexus neuropathy can lead to these issues and affect the function of the brachial plexus. . 👉🏼 Comment if you can relate. . Top 5 regrets from those who are at their final stages of life. . At the end of life, one of the most common regrets people often express is not having lived true to themselves. . They regret not pursuing their dreams and passions, and instead, living according to the expectations and opinions of others. . Many regret not taking more risks, not expressing their feelings and S emotions openly, and not prioritizing their own happiness and well-being. . Regret often stems from missed opportunities, neglected relationships, and a lack of authenticity in one's choices and actions. . It serves as a reminder for the value of living a life aligned with one's own values, desires, and personal growth, rather than conforming to societal pressures or settling for a path that doesn't bring true fulfillment. . 💥The Central Nervous System💥 . The central nervous system (CNS) is a crucial part of the human nervous system, consisting of the brain and spinal cord. . ✅ Here are five functions of the central nervous system: 👉🏼 Information Processing: The CNS processes sensory information from the body and external environment, enabling perception and interpretation of stimuli. . 👉🏼 Motor Control: It coordinates and controls voluntary and involuntary muscle movements, allowing us to perform physical actions and maintain bodily functions. . 👉🏼 Cognitive Functions: The CNS is responsible for higher-order functions such as thinking, memory, reasoning, and problem-solving. . 👉🏼 Homeostasis Regulation: It helps regulate various bodily processes, such as body temperature, heart rate, and blood pressure, to maintain internal balance. . 👉🏼Emotional Responses: The CNS plays a role in generating and regulating emotions, influencing mood, and governing emotional responses to stimuli. . ⚡️The CNS is a vital component of human physiology and behavior. . #nervoussystem #centralnervoussystem #sympatheticnervoussystem #parasympatheticnervoussystem #anxietyrelief #stressrelief #brainhealth #nervoussystemregulation #immunesupport #immunehealth #btosteopathy #humananatomy #brainscience

💥Reticular Activating System💥 . The Reticular Activating System is responsible for our wakefulness, our ability to focus, our fight-flight response, and how you ultimately perceive the world. . It can control what we perceive in our consciousness, essentially a gatekeeper of information. . The RAS is a bundle of nerves at our brainstem that filters out unnecessary information so the important stuff gets through. . The RAS is the reason you learn a new word and then start hearing it everywhere. Its why you can tune out a crowd full of talking people, yet immediately snap to attention when someone says your name or something that at least sounds like it. . Your RAS takes what you focus on and creates a filter for it. It then sifts through the data and presents only the pieces that are important to you. All of this happens without you noticing, of course. . The RAS programs itself to work in your favour without you actively doing anything. . Pretty awesome right?! . #ras #reticularactivatingsystem #lawofattraction #mindfulness #intuition #brainhack #anatomy #physiology #mindset #healthtips #nervoussystem #nervoussystemregulation #brain #brainhealth #mentalhealth #btosteopathy
