Okay so quick story time, years ago I was convinced I would gain a ton of weight if I ate anything more than 1,500 calories. The constant restriction led to mediocre results, a poor relationship with food, chronic fatigue, low libido, and an unresponsive body. It was frustrating to say the least. It wasn’t until I hired a coach who introduced me to what eating MORE paired with the right strength training plan could actually do for my body. It felt like magic…I was finally starting to get the toned and lean look I’d been after and yet I was doing the opposite of what I’d always been told. Eating more and moving less. Your metabolism is always adapting to your inputs. Everything from how many calories you consistently consume, how much muscle you have, the amount of sleep you get, how active you are, and even the state of your hormones all influence the amount of calories you burn in a given day. When you restrict your calories for months and months on end AND you “wing” it in the gym or put more energy toward cardio based workouts, you’re asking for a slow metabolism. The best thing you can do for long term weight loss and sustainability is approach fat loss goals in phases. A phase dedicated to muscle building and restoring your caloric intake, a phase dedicated to fat loss, and a phase dedicated again to a slow return to maintenance so you’re not left at lowered calories. This, paired with following a structured strength training plan for 8-12 weeks with the intention of coming 1-3 reps away from failure is how you maximize your ability to be a fat burning machine🔥 #fyp #fatloss #fittok #nutritiontips #metabolism #weightloss #fatlossforwomen #caloriedeficit #toned #strengthtraining
