In all seriousness, Harper has always been very tall and pretty well spoken for her age. She gets her height from my husband (he’s 6’7” - I’m the only shorty over here… my son is tall for his age too). She’s taller than a lot of her friends back home, and at her school in Japan, she towers over her peers.

We don’t make a big deal about her height but we do at times have to remind others that even though she’s tall, she is still only 3.

Although I was SO sad to leave the school that we had fallen in love with, we found an international school in our new area that seems like the perfect fit for our 3 year old daughter. She’ll be starting there on Monday, so today we went shopping for all of the items that she needs. This was my second time doing back to school shopping in Japan, so I kind of knew what to expect. However, the list the school provided was 100% in Japanese, so figuring out which items were needed was a bit of a struggle. Google translate and the staff at the store saved the day! Does anything included (or not included) in the list surprise you? I was surprised she doesn’t need crayons and colored pencils. I guess those are provided by the school!
