“Why doesn’t Nala wear a jacket or dog boots?😔” A question we commonly get when I post videos of us playing in the snow. A short answer, she doesn’t need them (at least at this point in her life). The longer answer, Nala tolerates cold temperatures very well, as is the case with many breeds with double coats. However, very young or very old dogs may need more warmth to stay comfortable in colder temperatures. And of course some breeds are not built to withstand cold temperatures.
What’s actually more dangerous that very cold temperatures, is very warm temperatures. Nala is much more likely to get heat exhaustion in warmer weather than she is to get too cold in cooler weather.
At the end of the day, you can learn a lot from your dog just by observing their behavior. If a dog is uncomfortable, they will give you signs. If they are comfortable, that will also be pretty clear from their behavior. So just listen to your dog 🥰

·3-5One of my favorite cameras for capturing Nala content is the @GoPro HERO13 Black. I’ve been using GoPro cameras for 10 years now, and it’s amazing to see how far these little cameras have come. I almost always have one with me to capture content because it’s so small and easy to throw in my bag. Some of my favorite features of the new HERO13 Black are: - Beautiful 5.3k video - Multiple options for shooting beautiful slow motion (4k/120fps, 2.7k/240fps are my favorites) - The tall sensor lets you crop your video for vertical or horizontal content - The new Ultra Wide lens mod that let’s me get some fun POV shots Feel free to ask me any questions about the GoPro HERO13 Black! #dog #goldenretriever #hero13
